Location: Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NNSY) CIO C109, Portsmouth, VA 23709 
 
Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Install, configure, troubleshoot, and monitor network systems, hardware, and software applications including switches, routers, firewalls, and network appliances</li><li>
Implement DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) to ensure network component compliance</li><li>
Evaluate and respond to network incidents and perform corrective actions</li><li>
Support approved change management processes</li><li>
Implement and manage data center technologies (network, compute, storage, automation, security)</li><li>
Collaborate with Windows, Unix, and other server administrators to design solutions and address requirements</li><li>
Troubleshoot issues and implement changes in a data center environment</li><li>
Review security information and event management (SEIM) tools to discover and resolve network events</li><li>
Implement and manage security protocols and policies within enterprise networks</li><li>
Perform root cause analysis and provide recommendations or corrective actions</li><li>
Work with Department of Defense teams to support project objectives</li><li>
Contribute to project/task plan execution and help assess/resolve issues</li></ul>
Qualifications:<ul><li>
Ten (10) years of experience
</li><li>Demonstrated knowledge and experience in Cisco networks</li><li>
Experience in design, configuration, and installation of enterprise network devices</li><li>
Extensive work history in data center environments</li></ul>
Requirements:<ul><li>
Proficiency in advanced routing protocols (EIGRP, OSPF) and switching technologies</li><li>
Understanding and implementation of SDN technologies (SD-Access, SD-WAN)</li><li>
Planning, designing, and implementing local and wide-area enterprise networks</li><li>
Expertise with Cisco data center solutions (Nexus, UCS, ACI, Fibre Channel)</li><li>
Required Hardware Experience:<ul><li>
Network switches: CISCO Nexus series 7000/9000 and Cisco Catalyst series</li><li>
Cisco routers: CISCO 4551, 8500</li></ul></li><li>
Required Software Experience:<ul><li>
Solar Winds</li><li>

Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies</li><li>
Perform Security Test and Evaluation (ST&amp;E) processing</li><li>
Apply Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) using automated tools such as SCAP, Evaluate STIG, STIGMAN, and EMASSter</li><li>
Utilize Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Services (eMASS) and similar RMF repositories</li><li>
Create and maintain A&amp;A Business Rules, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Concept of Operations (CONOPs), and Plans</li><li>
Develop contingency plans and conduct related training and testing</li><li>
Establish and interpret Firewall Policy</li><li>
Interpret and register Ports &amp; Protocols</li><li>
Create and maintain hardware/software documentation, network boundaries, flow diagrams, and technical drawings</li><li>
Interpret information in system baseline configurations in VRAM by uploading vulnerability scans</li><li>
Produce executive documents, reports, project plans, and Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&amp;Ms)</li><li>
Support certification and accreditation of DON information systems, networks, and Platform IT</li></ul>
Qualifications:<ul><li>
Bachelor's degree in an IT-related discipline</li><li>
Seven (7) years of experience in CS/A&amp;A analysis support, IA controls analysis, conducting risk assessments, risk mitigation analysis, or developing plans</li><li>
Current registration as a Navy Qualified Validator (NQV)</li><li>
Expert knowledge of Cyber Security (CS) / Risk Management Framework (RMF) concepts and requirements (DoDI 8510.01)</li><li>
Experience with OPNAVINST N9210.3 requirements for Safeguarding Naval Nuclear Propulsion Information</li><li>
Expert knowledge of CS/RMF requirements defined by Public Laws, National, DoD, and DON regulations</li><li>
Proficiency with FISMA, DoDD 8100.02, DODI 8500.01, DoDI 8520, DoDI 8530, DoDI 8531, SECNAV 5239 Series, OPNAV 5239 Series, and NIST Special Publications Series 800</li><li>
