Responsible for obtaining materials, components, equipment, and services. Perform cost analysis and volume planning for major commodities. Acquire and maintain technical understanding of products purchased. Coordinate purchasing activities with manufacturing and engineering departments to maintain inventory at planned levels. Monitor the cost, schedule, and scope of assigned subcontracts to assure best quality at best value. Recommend cost saving proposals including make vs. buy analysis, alternative sourcing, and vendor evaluation criteria. Manage Supplier Relationship Regionally (in North America). Act as primary point of contact for assigned suppliers in category. Perform commercial supplier qualification activities to ensure the commercial development of strategic suppliers. Maintain collaborative relationships with supplier(s) while effectively resolving supplier performance/capability issues to ensure alignment with Micron&rsquo;s strategic direction. Ensure suppliers align with Micron&rsquo;s code-of-conduct programs and corporate social responsibility initiatives. Communicate key supplier management updates and decisions to multiple levels in the organization including Senior Leaders or Executives. Enlist senior management, when appropriate, to help reinforce commitment and involvement from suppliers. Provide the voice of the supply base to Micron and provide the voice of Micron to the supply base. Provide market intelligence and category price trends to relevant internal partners on a disciplined schedule. Apply cost analysis and models for assigned categories that are benchmarked and relevant to the regional marketplace. Serve as the center of knowledge for assigned category and share knowledge with key customers and members of the category teams to enable more effective planning, forecasting and execution. Drive Negotiations with Suppliers for Sustaining Purchases Lead or participate in negotiations for contract extensions and renewals, renegotiation of prices, transfers, etc. Coordinate with Global Category Supplier Manager (where relevant) or lead sourcing events/RFQ process into bundled negotiation Incorporate savings targets and contract requirements into negotiate. Develop a contract strategy for suppliers in assigned categories and build, negotiate monitor and enforce contracted terms and conditions. Ensure Supplier Performance Management Partner with customers to build comprehensive view of supplier performance Collect and relay site specific priorities to suppliers. Own and manage overall Supplier Relationships within the assigned categories. Collaborate internally to drive and develop key performance measures/metrics for key regional suppliers and monitor supplier performance against these expectations to ensure continuous supplier improvement. Lead in organizing and delivering on strategic supplier events, such as Quarterly Business Reviews, Annual Supplier Evaluations, and Executive Review Meetings. Position requires domestic travel. May telecommute part-time.
Employer will accept a Master&rsquo;s degree in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or in a procurement-related occupation. Position requires:
1. Strategic sourcing and procurement;
2. Contract redlining/reviewing, including Service Agreements, and Statements of Work to ensure the language aligns with the commercial requirements;
3. Project management skills;
4. Ability to identity and source the resources and support for any category to complete a project;
5. Analyzing cost data and contracts, completing cost analysis and reviewing benchmark data to understand the pricing models.

Material Specialist Job Description: As a Material Handler at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be responsible for the accurate receipt of both Inventory and Non-Inventory goods, as well as maintaining inventory stock and delivery of received shipments to internal customers. Job Summary:
Micron Technology is looking for a diligent and collaborative Ultrapure Water (UPW) Engineer. This role will support the design, construction, commissioning, and ongoing operations of ultrapure water and water reclaim systems at our advanced manufacturing and R&amp;D facilities in Boise, ID. This role involves working multi-functionally to ensure system reliability, optimize performance, and drive continuous improvement while maintaining compliance with safety and environmental standards.
Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Review and validate vendor design drawings, specifications, and engineering calculations.</li><li>
Evaluate system layouts for functionality, constructability, and maintenance accessibility.</li><li>
Approve equipment submittals, RFIs, shop drawings, and construction models.</li><li>
Support QA during construction and commissioning phases.</li><li>
Enter system data into tools for planning and supporting infrastructure upgrades.</li><li>
Monitor system performance using SCADA, SPC, and IoT tools to ensure compliance with specifications.</li><li>
Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for system issues.</li><li>
Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to develop and maintain O&amp;M documentation.</li><li>
Complete required safety training and follow all EHS policies and procedures.</li><li>
Conduct and apply Job Hazard Analyses (JHA/JSA) and make sure PPE and lockout/tagout protocols.</li><li>
Identify and mitigate potential hazards to personnel and the environment.</li><li>

As the Category Director &ndash; Construction Trades Sourcing , you will be responsible to lead sourcing efforts for trade partners working on major construction projects (greater than $300M) across the United States, working with the regional sourcing teams, construction teams, and designated project partners. You will engage with executive leadership to prepare strategy and advance negotiations and develop strong supplier relationships and work with internal customers to enable the best business outcomes. Ensure maximum value of major construction contracts by sourcing, contracting, developing suppliers, and completing strategies.
