Senior Counsel
Microvast is seeking a Senior Counsel to join the Legal Team, primarily supporting supply chain operations in the procurement of goods and services. This role will also involve assisting with transactions for other business units, including the sale of battery solutions and energy storage products. This position offers a unique opportunity for a seasoned commercial lawyer to contribute to accelerating the world&rsquo;s transition to sustainable energy in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
What You'll Do<div><ul><li>
Drafts, reviews, and negotiates a wide range of commercial contracts with a very high degree of independence in support of the business.</li><li>
Manage a high volume and wide range of commercial contracts, including supply agreements, IP licensing agreements, technical agreements, warranty agreements, development agreements, services agreements, and confidentiality agreements, materials agreement, licensing agreements, consulting agreements, etc..</li><li>
Review redlines, supervise negotiations and provide general guidance to the business.</li><li>
Provide advice on a variety of strategic, regulatory, and transactional matters for the supply chain team and other business units.</li><li>
Facilitate resolution of legal disputes by drafting and responding to breach of contract claims.</li><li>
Prepare and maintain contract forms to support Microvast&rsquo;s businesses and operational areas.</li><li>
Identify and define operational and legal risk and communicate those risks to the general counsel.</li><li>
Collaborate with colleagues worldwide to ensure consistency in contracts and risk allocation across Microvast&rsquo;s various businesses.</li><li>
Handle miscellaneous legal tasks on an as-needed basis.</li></ul></div>
What You'll Bring<div><ul><li>
Juris Doctor with a current license to practice in Texas.</li><li>
Minimum of 8 years of practice experience, with a combination of law firm and in-house experience preferred.</li><li>
Excellent communication skills with business-level to near native-level fluency in English, both verbal and written, with Mandarin, German, or additional languages as a plus.</li><li>
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to proactively identify problems, drive projects, make complex cost/benefit assessments, and identify pragmatic legal and business solutions.</li><li>
Capability to work independently and collaboratively while managing competing priorities in a fast-paced, challenging environment.</li><li>
Quick and flexible learning ability with strong analytical skills, intellectual curiosity, adaptability, and comfort with ambiguity and risk.</li><li>
High standards, impeccable integrity, ethical conduct, and sound judgment.</li><li>
Possesses clear and concise verbal and written communication skills and must have excellent interpersonal communication skills.</li><li>
Strong computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), document management systems, and redlining software).</li><li>
Must be detail-oriented and have strong organizational skills.</li><li>
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, with the ability to re-prioritize on short time frames. Can quickly separate the mission-critical from the nice-to-haves and the trivial.</li><li>
Ability to make complex decisions based on the data available; drives to the finish on all projects.</li><li>
Acts responsibly and conscientiously.</li><li>

Expected Compensation
