<div></div><div>The Delivery Driver position is responsible for modeling excellent customer service through facilitating the smooth transport of items from one branch to another via delivery truck and sorting items on the dock.</div>
<div></div><div>Essential Functions</div>
<div></div><ul><li>Delivery driving
<ul><li>Transports library materials to branch locations throughout the library system via a company truck</li>
<li>Makes unscheduled deliveries and pick-ups</li>
<li>Picks up discarded boxes from branches</li>
</ul></li><li>Sorting
<ul><li>Sorts library materials and related items on the dock</li>
<li>Loads and unloads delivery trucks</li>
<li>Unloads freight from trucks</li>

<ul><li>Determines suitability of discarded and donated books and other related materials</li>
<li>Trains employees how to sort discarded books and pack appropriately</li>
<li>Helps sort surplus and/ or donated materials and prepares them for sale or discard</li>

<div></div><ul><li>High School Diploma/HiSet/GED Completion Required</li>
<li>Warehouse/Production environment experience Preferred</li>
<li>Experience driving box trucks Preferred</li>
<li>Familiarity with Jackson, Clay, and Platte County directions and locations preferred</li>

<div></div><div>The Customer Service Associate I is the first point of contact for customers and is responsible for providing exceptional customer service the majority of their time in-person at the desk and over the phone.</div>
