<div>DEPARTMENT: Outside Services JOB TITLE: Front Gate Attendant

REPORTS TO: Outside Services Manager

JOB TYPE: Hourly/Non-Exempt

 BASIC FUNCTION: Control access to the club by checking vehicles for proper decals/passes, allowing entry only to members, designated guests, and employees. Issues authorized decals/passes; and allows entry to authorized destinations by all law enforcement agencies, ambulance services, and fire trucks.

 ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
<ul>
<li> Maintains and keeps an active gate and other required logs.</li>
<li>Checks all vehicles and person(s) for entry authorization by observing valid decals/passes and/or visitor logs. Issues authorized decal/pass and allows driver entry.</li>
<li>Turns away all unauthorized person(s) that cannot be verified by a decal/pass, visitor log or a phone call.</li>
<li>Assists other agencies, and vendors as requested.</li>
<li> Performs security patrol functions.</li>
<li> Performs other duties as may be assigned.</li>
</ul>
 CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS:
<ul>
<li>Knowledge of applicable state and local laws and the club&rsquo;s policies and procedures.</li>
<li>Demonstrate self-restraint in challenging unruly or unauthorized guests or service providers or in handling other difficult situations.</li>
<li>Knowledge of and ability to perform required roles in emergency situations.</li>
</ul>
 LICENSES &amp; SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
<ul>
<li>Valid driver&rsquo;s license.</li>
</ul>
 PHYSICAL DEMANDS &amp; WORK ENVIRONMENT:
<ul>
<li> Frequent exposure to hot, sunny, humid, cold, or rainy conditions.</li>
<li>Working conditions are often slippery and wet.</li>
<li>May work in nighttime conditions.</li>
<li>Frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals.</li>
<li>Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.</li>
<li> Able to meet and perform the physical requirements and to work effectively in an environment that is typical of this position.</li>
<li>Frequent lifting, bending, climbing, stooping, and pulling.</li>
<li>Frequent repetitive motions.</li>
<li>Continuous standing and walking.</li>
</ul>
EDUCATIONAL and/or EXPERIENCE:
<ul>
<li>High School diploma or GED equivalent.</li></ul></div>
