Job SummaryWe are looking for an Accountant, preferably from Kerala (Malayalam speaking), with strong knowledge of construction and trading industry practices.The role involves:<ul><li>Managing day-to-day financial transactions</li><li>Project costing and material tracking</li><li>Preparing and monitoring client billing</li><li>Ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulations</li><li>Providing financial insights to support management in decision-making</li></ul>Freshers with good accounting knowledge are also welcome to apply.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Maintain accurate accounting records, ledgers, and general accounts.</li><li>Handle accounts payable and receivable, supplier invoices, and customer billing.</li><li>Prepare project-based cost reports, including material, labor, and overhead allocation.</li><li>Monitor and reconcile advances, deposits, and retention amounts with clients and subcontractors.</li><li>Oversee payroll processing for site and office employees.</li><li>Manage bank reconciliations, cash flow, and petty cash accounts.</li><li>Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.</li><li>Support budget preparation, variance analysis, and project profitability reviews.</li><li>Ensure compliance with tax filings, VAT, WPS, and statutory requirements.</li><li>Coordinate with external auditors, banks, and regulatory bodies.</li><li>Recommend and implement process improvements for cost control and efficiency.</li></ul>Qualifications &amp; Skills<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.</li><li>Professional certification (CPA, CMA, ACCA, or equivalent) preferred.</li><li>Minimum [X years] of accounting experience, preferably in construction/trading industry.</li><li>Strong knowledge of project costing, billing, and inventory management.</li><li>Proficiency in accounting software (Odoo, Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, or equivalent).</li><li>Advanced MS Excel skills for reporting and analysis.</li><li>Excellent understanding of VAT, WPS, and local statutory requirements.</li><li>Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.</li><li>Good communication and interpersonal skills.</li></ul>Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, New gradPay: QAR1,800.00 - QAR2,000.00 per monthExpected hours: 48 per week
