<div>JOB SUMMARY: This person performs all office functions for the elementary school. Responsible for keeping the elementary principal informed of all situations affecting the school and handling routine activities/situations in the principal's absence. 
REPORTS TO: The elementary principal 
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Full time, Monday through Friday, 225 days per year; Breaks; Monday &ndash; Thursday, 10 hours per day. 
EVALUATION: Yearly first two years, then every three years following satisfactory evaluation. 
QUALIFICATIONS:<ul><li>
Must be able to pass a background check.</li><li>
Education:<ul><li>
Required: Must be a high school graduate or have a G.E.D. equivalent.</li><li>
Preferred: One year of additional technical/business training or equivalent.</li></ul></li><li>
Training and Experience: Successful progressive office preferred.</li><li>
Any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the position.</li><li>
Excellent organizational skills; high attention to detail; strong written and verbal communication skills.</li><li>
Ability to work both collaboratively and independently.</li><li>
Must be efficient with computers, various software applications, and related technologies. Experience with Microsoft Office and Google Suite applications is required.</li><li>
The ability to balance multiple tasks simultaneously is a must.</li><li>
Safeguard all district data.</li><li>
Possess sound, independent judgment, including handling of confidential matters.</li></ul>
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:<ul><li>
Building registrar &ndash; schedule students, withdraw students, manage student records.</li><li>
Support scheduling and record keeping of internal and external professional development, including travel.</li><li>
Schedule and arrange facilities for staff and other meetings.</li><li>
Process and maintain materials and information.</li><li>
Assist in the development and maintenance of various databases and inventories.</li><li>
Process and track purchases and maintain account balances and financial records.</li><li>
Process work orders, bus requests, conference requests</li><li>
Assist with assigning staff when substitutes are not available.</li><li>
Prepare confidential student reports and staff evaluations, weekly staff notes/calendar, staff meeting notes, and monthly/yearly school event calendar.</li><li>
Maintain immunization records, accident reports, and administer medication and first aid.</li><li>
Train and supervise office paraprofessionals.</li><li>
Create school-related messages for parents, students, and staff.</li><li>
Fine motor skills and ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted, to lift and move equipment and supplies.</li><li>
Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position with reasonable accommodations.</li><li>
Able to ride in a vehicle, as necessary (e.g., training on occasion)</li><li>
Able to work indoors during all seasons/weather/temperatures as permitted.</li></ul> 
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS:<ul><li>
Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.</li><li>
Ability to plan, coordinate, and prioritize work effectively.</li><li>
Communicate effectively via district-assigned email on a daily basis as determined by the supervisor.</li><li>
Accurately complete electronic time sheets and absence reporting via the timekeeping system, per assigned deadlines</li><li>
Regular and reliable attendance</li><li>
Consistent and reliable performance of job responsibilities</li><li>
Perform other job responsibilities deemed appropriate by the supervisor/building administrator and/or Superintendent.</li></ul>
