The Ophthalmic Technician/Medical Assistant role is more than a job, it is truly a career. The primary location for this position is located in Crestview Hill (KY), but travel to Ohio locations would be required.</div>
Responsibilities:

This position requires customer service skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a degree of independent decision-making.</div><div></div><div><br>
Ophthalmic skills (upon completion of training) include but are not limited to:</div><ul><li>
Obtaining and documenting patient history</li><li>
Determining visual acuity</li><li>
Performing automated refraction</li><li>
Administering eye drops, ointments, and irrigating solutions to the eye as ordered by the physician</li><li>
Performing office duties and clinical tasks - entering data into EMR</li><li>
Providing patient services</li><li>
Maintaining equipment and instruments</li></ul>
Qualifications:<br>

Dependable transportation required to travel to other offices as required
</li><li>Must be flexible with traveling to various locations as needed
</li><li>Ability to pay attention to detail
</li><li>Ability to maintain confidentiality

Position Summary:
<div>
The Front Desk Associate provides exceptional patient service, both in person and over the phone. This position interviews patients and/or their representatives to obtain complete and accurate demographic, financial and insurance information, required for billing and collecting patient accounts. The Front Office Associate performs a variety of clerical and patient service duties necessary to maintain efficient flow of operations in the medical office. The Front Office Associate may answer multiple phone lines, schedule appointments, assist in processing medical records requests, enter patient demographic and insurance information, and accept patient payments.</div><div></div><div><br>
The primary location for this postion is at our Crestview Hills (KY) retina clinic, but travel to our Ohio retina clinics is required.</div>
Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Displays high level of professionalism and gives superb customer service
</li><li>Obtains and reviews patient demographic and insurance information for accuracy
</li><li>Verifies insurance and collects copays, co-insurance, and outstanding balances</li><li>Ensures all patient intake forms are signed and complete
</li><li>Answers patient communication pathways including multiple phone lines, Solution Reach Conversations Messaging Portal, and email/fax</li><li>Schedules appointments
</li><li>Processes medical record requests per policies and procedures
</li><li>Coordinates with Clinical Staff to ensure optimal patient experience</li></ul>
Qualifications:

Education:
</div><ul><li>High School Diploma or Equivalent Certificate</li></ul><div><br>
</div><div>Required Skills:
</div><ul><li>Minimum 2 years of experience in a medical office/health care setting
</li><li>Minimum 2 years of health care insurance experience
</li><li>Strong computer knowledge and skills with a minimum typing speed of 30 WPM
</li><li>Strong desire to assist others and provide excellent customer service
</li><li>Must be highly dependable and organized</li><li>Outstanding interpersonal skills
