OverviewMichiana Dental Care is seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in dental assisting and a passion for providing exceptional patient care while supporting the clinical operations of the practice.As a Certified Dental Assistant, you will play an essential role in maintaining efficient clinical workflow, upholding infection control standards, and ensuring a comfortable and positive experience for every patient.Michiana Dental Care: 518 Lincolnway West, Mishawaka, IN 46544-1807Pay: $18&ndash;$22 per hour (based on experience) Schedule: Monday &ndash; Thursday | 8:00 AM &ndash; 5:00 PMResponsibilities<ul><li>Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry.</li><li>Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, organizing materials, and maintaining proper infection control protocols.</li><li>Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), including 3D scans when applicable.</li><li>Maintain and update patient records using electronic dental software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft while ensuring HIPAA compliance.</li><li>Welcome and assist patients while helping manage scheduling, insurance verification, and patient inquiries when needed.</li><li>Monitor vital signs and assist with documentation related to patient care.</li><li>Support the dental team with clinical and administrative duties to ensure smooth daily operations.</li><li>Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care when appropriate.</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Dental Assistant Certification required</li><li>Radiology/X-ray certification preferred</li><li>Knowledge of dental terminology and dental procedures</li><li>Strong understanding of infection control and sterilization protocols</li><li>Excellent communication and patient care skills</li><li>Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced dental environment</li><li>Team-oriented, reliable, and detail-focused</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hourExpected hours: 8 per weekBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Work Location: In person
