Millbrook Properties is looking for Maintenance Technician for its Buffalo Grove location.As a Maintenance Technician, you will provide a variety of maintenance and repair services for the buildings and tenants of Millbrook Properties.RESPONSIBILITIES<ul><li>Perform ongoing maintenance and repair work on building systems, including mechanical equipment, and machines to include Rooftop Units, HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, and other installed systems.</li><li>Complete all assigned work orders and inspections assigned by the Lead Maintenance Technician and/or General Manager in a timely and accurate manner.</li><li>Perform facility walkthroughs and inspections noting discrepancies and perform repairs as needed.</li><li>Be able to respond to emergencies during and outside of regular working hours.</li><li>Perform minor construction, fabrication, and painting work as assigned by management.</li><li>Comply with all safety procedures and take corrective action by reporting on any maintenance or operating problems which affect the security or operating condition of the building.</li><li>Load, unload, and move furniture, equipment, fixtures, and other items as needed in the building.</li><li>Maintain compliance with the city, county, and state ordinance and codes.</li><li>Maintain the grounds and parking structure, including snow shoveling in the winter season as needed.</li><li>Maintain a positive working relationship with co-workers, building tenants, and vendors.</li><li>Other duties as assigned.</li></ul>QUALIFICATIONS<ul><li>High school diploma or GED and demonstrate experience that establishes the skills and abilities required to perform the major duties and responsibilities of the position.</li><li>Ability to pass a background check in accordance with state and/or Federal laws.</li><li>Valid driver&rsquo;s license and clear driving record.</li><li>Basic understanding of HVAC systems, operation, and maintenance requirements.</li><li>Ideal candidates will be self-motivated and able to work with minimal to no supervision.</li><li>Communicates effectively both orally and written.</li><li>Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office.</li><li>Experience with Work Order Management Systems.</li></ul>PHSYCIAL CONDITIONS TO PERFORM JOB<ul><li>Continuous standing of more than 75% of time.</li><li>Lifting/pushing/pulling/carrying required up to 50lbs.</li><li>Bending/Kneeling frequently required.</li><li>Subject to loud noise, vibrations, and dusty situations.</li><li>Capable of performing physical labor such as climbing ladders safely, working from heights up to 30 feet, working on roofs and working from a prone or kneeling position.</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Employee assistance program</li><li>Flexible spending account</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li></ul>Education:<ul><li>High school or equivalent (Required)</li></ul>License/Certification:<ul><li>Driver's License (Required)</li></ul>Shift availability:<ul><li>Day Shift (Required)</li></ul>Ability to Commute:<ul><li>Buffalo Grove, IL 60089 (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
