<div><b>Position Summary</b></div>
<div>The Buyer is responsible for executing purchasing activities for direct materials (steel, components, fabrication parts) and indirect materials/services (tools, consumables, maintenance supplies) across multiple projects and locations. This role ensures timely procurement to support production schedules and project deadlines while maintaining cost efficiency and quality standards.<br>
<div><b>Key Responsibilities</b></div>
<ul><li>Issue purchase orders for steel, fabricated components, and assembly parts.</li>
<li>Confirm pricing, lead times, and delivery schedules with suppliers throughout the entire process.</li>
<li>Purchase consumables, tools, safety equipment, and facility maintenance items.</li>
<li>Coordinate with operations teams to ensure timely delivery of indirect materials.</li>
<li>Communicate with vendors regarding order status, delivery, and quality issues.</li>
<li>Maintain accurate supplier information and approved vendor lists.</li>
<li>Enter and track purchase orders in ERP systems.</li>
<li>Ensure proper documentation for compliance and audit purposes.</li>
<li>Work with project managers and production teams to align purchasing with schedules.</li>
<li>Assist in resolving material shortages or delays.</li>
<li>Review supplier contracts and negotiate terms.</li>

<p><b>Qualifications</b></p>
</div>
<ul><li>Education: Associate&rsquo;s or Bachelor&rsquo;s degree.</li>
<li>Experience: 2+ years in purchasing or procurement within manufacturing or fabrication industries.</li>
<li>Familiarity with steel and fabrication materials preferred.</li>
<li>Skills: Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.</li>
<li>Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.</li>
