We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Content Development &amp; Editorial Specialist to support enterprise communications initiatives. This role is responsible for researching, writing, editing, designing, and producing high-quality content across multiple platforms, including websites, newsletters, social media, enterprise events, and print publications.
Essential Functions
Content Development &amp; Research<ul><li>
Research audience-relevant topics and develop long-and short-form content for digital and print platforms.</li><li>
Write articles, newsletters, social posts, and event-related content; conduct SME interviews and translate technical information into clear, accessible messaging.</li><li>
Ensure content accuracy, alignment, and relevance through collaboration with SMEs and program stakeholders.</li></ul>
Digital Content &amp; Social Media<ul><li>
Create engaging digital content-including posts, graphics, and multimedia-for social media and enterprise communication channels.</li><li>
Develop multimedia content packages supporting campaigns, initiatives, and enterprise events.</li><li>
Tailor messaging and formats to specific platforms, audiences, and communication goals.</li></ul>
Graphic Design &amp; Visual Communications<ul><li>
Design graphics, animations, and visual elements for websites, articles, presentations, and social media.</li><li>
Produce themed visual packages for high-visibility enterprise events and branded collateral for programs and initiatives.</li><li>
Maintain visual consistency and adherence to established branding guidelines.</li></ul>
Editing, Proofreading &amp; Quality Control<ul><li>
Edit and proofread content for clarity, tone, accuracy, and consistency across all communication products.</li><li>
Ensure compliance with AP Style and GPO style guidelines and apply plain language principles.</li><li>
Standardize event communications and ensure high-quality, audience-appropriate messaging.</li></ul>
Collaboration &amp; Workflow Management<ul><li>
Coordinate with SMEs, designers, and communication leads to support content planning and production.</li><li>
Manage multiple content projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and quality expectations.</li><li>
Maintain organized editorial workflows to support timely review, approval, and publication.</li></ul>
Required Qualifications<ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Communications, Journalism, English, Public Affairs, Marketing, or a related field.</li><li>
3+ years of experience in content development, editorial support, or strategic communications.</li><li>
Proven ability to write and edit long-and short-form content across multiple platforms.</li><li>
Strong editing and proofreading skills with experience applying AP Style (GPO familiarity a plus).</li><li>
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and graphic design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite or Canva.</li><li>
Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize deadlines, and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.</li></ul>
Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>
Experience supporting federal or enterprise-level communications programs.</li><li>
Experience interviewing senior leaders or technical SMEs and translating complex information for broad audiences.</li><li>
Familiarity with acquisition, workforce development, or higher education environments.</li><li>
Experience developing visual branding packages for large-scale events.</li><li>
Basic knowledge of web content management systems (CMS).</li></ul>
