MITRE is seeking an experienced and dynamic Systems or Network Engineer to lead the Advanced Battle Management System (ABMS) Digital Infrastructure (DI) team to accelerate acquisition and transition of capabilities, drive technical innovation, and formulate comprehensive strategies while providing guidance to reach sponsor outcomes. The Engineer will be responsible for leading multidisciplinary teams in the design, development, integration and transition of advanced battle management and command and control (C2) capabilities. The capabilities include MITRE-led risk reduction prototyping and product evaluation efforts in laboratory environments. This role requires a strong background in the digital infrastructure network, full information technology (IT) stack, program management, and systems engineering, as well as proven leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.
Roles &amp; Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Lead and manage team of 10 FTE to develop work products and perform tasks to meet stated outcomes, objectives, and milestones</li><li>
Work with sponsor to develop and shape task work plan and scope and execute to that work plan</li><li>
Identify and address gaps that sponsors must address to advance desired outcomes</li><li>
Partner with sponsors and supporting contractors to identify and map current and future state capabilities, processes</li><li>
Develop and execute processes to accelerate capability experimentation, acquisition, and transition within ABMS</li><li>
Provide subject matter expertise in ABMS DI domains</li><li>
Shape and guide analyses, experimentation, demonstrations, and operational assessments</li><li>
Shape and guide the stand up and execution of a systems integration lab and work with government and industry partners on digital infrastructure integration</li><li>
Work across ABMS to contribute to overall project objectives and goals</li><li>
Mentor and develop project staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance team environment.</li><li>
Communicate project status, risks, and outcomes to senior leadership and sponsors.</li></ul>
Basic Qualifications:<ul><li>
Typically requires a minimum of 10 years of related experience with a Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in engineering, systems engineering, network engineering, computer science, or related technical field; or 8 years and a Master&rsquo;s degree; or a PhD with 5 years&rsquo; experience; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience</li><li>
5+ years of experience in DoD acquisition processes and program management.</li><li>
Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing complex projects.</li><li>
Experience with requirements analysis, systems integration, and operational experimentation.</li><li>
Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and leadership skills.</li><li>
Current U.S. Secret clearance.</li><li>
U.S. Citizenship required.</li><li>
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Top Secret (or higher) security clearance.</li><li>
Regular access to NIPR, SIPR, and JWICS workstations</li><li>
Located or willing to relocate to Bedford, McLean/Joint Base Anacostia Bolling, Dayton/Wright Patterson AFB</li><li>
This position requires a minimum of 50% hybrid on-site presence.</li></ul>
Preferred Qualifications:
<ul><li>Current TS//SCI clearance</li><li>
Master&rsquo;s degree preferred.</li><li>
Experience with full IT stack to include cloud computing, geographically distributed SD-WAN networking, edge-compute nodes, and data-flow optimization technology</li><li>
Familiarity with modeling &amp; simulation tools (e.g., AFSim, Cameo, MBSE).</li><li>
Familiarity with command and control (C2) and battle management</li><li>
Prior experience supporting INDOPACOM, EUCOM, or other Combatant Commands.</li><li>
Prior task or project leader experience.</li><li>
Experience in managing and training junior staff members</li><li>
Background in corporate computing accreditation and compliance requirements</li><li>

Job Description:
We are seeking a Senior Underwater Sensors Engineer to aid in research and development, modeling and simulation, rapid prototyping, testing and evaluation, and workforce development. Desired fields include acoustic sensing, acoustic communications, unmanned underwater vehicles, maritime autonomy, oceanography, and climate science to support missions ranging from maritime defense to sustainable development of the Blue Economy. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional technical leadership abilities in their established areas of expertise, while also being confident leading and contributing to projects outside those areas.
Roles and Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Support in the development of state-of-the-art signal processing algorithms for underwater sensing and communication systems.</li><li>
Involvement in the design of next-generation transducer and acoustic sensors.</li><li>
Conduct oceanographic acoustic modeling for predicting and assessing undersea sensor system characteristics.</li><li>
Rapidly prototype sensors, communication platforms, and embedded, underwater systems.</li><li>
Work on uncrewed and remotely operated underwater vehicles.</li></ul>
Basic Qualifications:<ul><li>
Current Top Secret/SCI clearance.</li><li>
BS, MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Ocean Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or related field.</li><li>

MITRE&rsquo;s Electronic Systems Development department is seeking to hire talented and creative engineers with significant expertise in high performance and embedded software to lead and support advanced research and development projects of national significance.

Architect, implement, test, document, and debug embedded software systems (primarily C/C++)</li><li>

Senior-level proficiency in high-performance programming languages (e.g., C, C++, Rust), as well as other high-level languages (e.g., Python) and strong understanding of embedded systems, hardware interfacing</li><li>
Experience with implementation best practices, modern design methods and software development flows including git</li><li>
Demonstrated experience as individual contributor on high-performing multidisciplinary teams, with proven ability to implement components of embedded systems</li><li>
Understanding and experience with low-level processor architectures, operating system design, and hardware interfacing</li><li>
Experience with at least one of the following: real-time operating systems, POSIX interfaces, Linux/BSD user and kernel environments</li><li>
