The MDA Program Division&rsquo;s mission is to advance the nation&rsquo;s missile defense by delivering threat resilient and cost-effective solutions through novel multi-domain integration, domain focused operational prototyping, and trusted industry partnerships. The MDA division work program spans across acquisition, science and technology, architecture development and assessment, and various product offices. The MDA program division partners with other services and agencies to deliver integrated and innovative air and missile defense (IAMD) solutions in command-and-control (C2) and fire control; radar and sensors design; communications, transport, and position, navigation, and timing (PNT); advanced concept development; cyber operations and technologies; mission engineering and architecture analysis; agile acquisition; and open systems, modularity, and interoperability.
Roles &amp; Responsibilities:
The MDA program division is seeking a talented and experienced leader to partner with senior leadership in the MDA Directorate of Acquisition &amp; Sustainment (DA) to implement cross-agency novel acquisition and sustainment practices to streamline program execution and accelerate mission outcomes. The candidate will be a credible authority on defense acquisition, sustainment, technology transition, and missile defense. You will belong to a high-performing team that regularly initiates and implements projects in support of sponsors&rsquo; strategic initiatives, often before a sponsor can fully recognize or articulate that they are needed.
Roles include:<ul><li>
Effectively engage, communicate, and develop relationships with senior leadership in MDA/DA, across the entire agency, and with external organizations.</li></ul><ul><li>
Effectively engage and motivate sponsors, stakeholders, and the larger enterprise on acquisition modernization and agility topics ranging from acquisition policy to technology assessments, commercialization, and mission needs.</li></ul><ul><li>

Basic Qualifications:<ul><li>
Typically requires a minimum of 12 years of related experience with a Bachelor&rsquo;s degree; or 10 years and a Master&rsquo;s degree; or a PhD with 7 years&rsquo; experience; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.</li><li>
Broad exposure and significant roles across the DoW&rsquo;s acquisition environment, including the innovation ecosystem.</li><li>

Department Summary:
This is an opportunity for a creative Operations Research Analyst, Statistician, or Data Scientist to join MITRE&rsquo;s Operations Analysis department. We are a large group of over 60 technical staff members, who provide thought leadership on a variety of strategic and technical issues, perform analysis that enable our sponsors to make more effective decisions, lead internal research and development activities to bring new technical capabilities into the public sector, and serve as trusted third-party advisors to government sponsors on a variety of technical topics.
We apply our problem-solving skills to complex interdisciplinary problems that occur within or at the intersection of organizations, operations, and technology. We support sponsor projects across the defense and public sectors including military logistics, radio-spectrum frequency management, health care delivery, cybersecurity analytics, fraud detection, satellite planning, homeland security and civilian aviation. We apply advanced analytic techniques such as longitudinal analysis, large-scale integer programming, metaheuristics, agent-based modeling, reinforcement learning, predictive modeling, mathematical modeling, forecasting, machine learning, optimization, statistics, probability modeling, Bayesian analysis, and different types of simulation to solve the nation&rsquo;s toughest problems. MITRE is seeking an experienced and dynamic Systems or Network Engineer to lead the Advanced Battle Management System (ABMS) Digital Infrastructure (DI) team to accelerate acquisition and transition of capabilities, drive technical innovation, and formulate comprehensive strategies while providing guidance to reach sponsor outcomes. The Engineer will be responsible for leading multidisciplinary teams in the design, development, integration and transition of advanced battle management and command and control (C2) capabilities. The capabilities include MITRE-led risk reduction prototyping and product evaluation efforts in laboratory environments. This role requires a strong background in the digital infrastructure network, full information technology (IT) stack, program management, and systems engineering, as well as proven leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.

MITRE Industrial Security Programs (ISP) oversees the operations of classified facilities and ensures the implementation of operative security controls intended for the protection of unclassified and classified national security information (NSI) developed by or entrusted to MITRE as a member of the National Industrial Security Program (NISP). Roles &amp; Responsibilities:
MITRE is seeking a customer engagement-focused CSSO to manage security administration and ensure compliance for a multi-level program and associated classified areas at our MITRE Colorado Springs location. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills, a proactive approach to addressing mission needs, and a commitment to delivering seamless security support to internal and external stakeholders. CSSO &ndash; Key Responsibilities<ul><li>
Serve as primary liaison with sponsor security, ensuring full compliance with all collateral, SCI, SAP, and COMSEC regulations and guidelines.</li><li>
Operate with a high degree of independence, exercising sound judgment, initiative, and strong organizational skills with minimal supervision.</li><li>
Oversee special security areas and administer MITRE&rsquo;s collateral, SCI, and SAP security programs, including all facilities and programs under their cognizance.</li><li>
Maintain current security directives, regulations, manuals, and guidance, and ensure proper documentation for all covered facilities and programs.</li><li>
Manage personnel, information, and physical security processes in alignment with sponsor requirements.</li><li>
Ensure proper accounting, control, transmission, packaging, safeguarding, and authorized destruction of collateral, SCI, SAP, and COMSEC information, including software and cryptographic key updates.</li><li>
Certify and process visitor clearances and accesses for collateral, SCI, and SAP.</li><li>
Develop and implement Concepts of Operations, Standard Operating Procedures, and local security directives.</li><li>
Maintain accurate systems of record for all personnel under their cognizance.</li><li>
Execute all aspects of the Personnel Security Program (PSP), including nominations, investigations, validation of access requirements, briefings, NDAs/NDSs, and other personnel security actions.</li><li>
Lead ongoing security education, training, and awareness efforts, emphasizing protection of classified information, unauthorized disclosure prevention, and proper reporting.</li><li>
Maintain accreditation documentation for programs, communications systems, and information systems; conduct annual self-inspections and remediate findings.</li><li>
Review and update DD Form 254s for programs within the special security areas.</li></ul>
Basic Qualifications:<ul><li>

The CSSO will:<ul><li>
Be listed as Contractor SAP Security Officer (CSSO) of record for the SCI and SAP information to the program, respectively.</li><li>
Be responsible for professional, independent engagement, and collaboration with sponsor security to ensure adherence to regulations and guidelines.</li><li>
Be capable of independent decision-making, possess a high degree of individual initiative and organizational skills, and function with minimal supervision.</li><li>
Supervise the operation of the special security area and administer MITRE&rsquo;s SCI and SAP security program to include security oversight for areas and programs within their cognizance.</li><li>
Maintain applicable SCI and SAP directives, regulations, manuals, guidelines, and instructions to adequately discharge their duties and responsibilities.</li><li>
Manage and maintain the proper documentation required for all facilities and programs under his/her cognizance.</li><li>
Conduct and manage SCI and SAP personnel, information, physical and technical security (e.g., TEMPEST and TSCM) actions and procedures in accordance with Sponsor regulations.</li><li>
Properly account for, control, transmit, package, and safeguard SCI and SAP information, and will provide for destruction of SCI and SAP materials by authorized means in accordance with Sponsor regulations.</li><li>
Properly account for, control, transmit, package, and safeguard COMESEC information, and administer periodic software and cryptographical key updates.</li><li>
Certify and receive SCI and SAP visitor clearances and accesses.</li><li>
Create and implement Concept of Operations, Standard Operating Procedures, and other local area directives.</li><li>
Maintain the appropriate official system of record (SOR) accurately reflecting all personnel within their cognizance.</li><li>
Perform all aspects of the SCI and SAP Personnel Security Program (PSP) to include, but not limited to, nomination interviews, validation of Collateral, SCI and SAP access requirements, submission of investigative requests and nomination packages, conduct Collateral, SCI and SAP security briefings, obtain signed NDA and NDS, and perform other personnel security actions.</li><li>
Conduct a continuing SCI and SAP security education training and awareness program to ensure all Collateral-briefed, SCI-indoctrinated and SAP-briefed individuals are kept apprised of the requirements and guidelines for protecting SCI and SAP information, emphasizing unauthorized disclosure awareness, classification management, reporting, and day-to-day security program execution.</li><li>
Maintain appropriate accreditation documentation for each program, communications system, and IS within the special security areas under their cognizance, and conduct annual SCI and SAP self-inspections and address any shortcomings.</li><li>
Review and update the DD Form 254 for programs operating within the special security areas under their cognizance.</li><li>
Assist counterparts in the Information Systems Security (R311) Department for pre-coordination, accreditation, and installation of classified IS.</li></ul>
