<h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Data Analysis &amp; Reporting</b></h3>
<ul><li>Compile, analyze, and present supply chain metrics, including inventory health, demand shifts, procurement performance, and logistics KPIs.</li>
<li>Build and maintain advanced reporting dashboards and automated analytics using Excel, Power BI, or similar tools.</li>
<li>Conduct variance analysis and root-cause investigations for inventory, forecasting, and supplier performance issues.</li>
</ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Forecasting &amp; Modeling</b></h3>
<ul><li>Maintain PSI data and develop forecasting models for customer orders, supplier lead times, and delivery schedules.</li>
<li>Translate sales forecasts into quantitative purchasing and stocking recommendations.</li>
<li>Perform scenario analyses to support capacity planning, purchase strategies, and inventory target setting.</li>
</ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Inventory Optimization &amp; Risk Management</b></h3>
<ul><li>Evaluate vendor performance using statistical analysis, including trend analysis, lead-time variability, and risk scoring.</li>
<li>Support vendor forecasting and inventory optimization tools in collaboration with IT and cross-functional teams.</li>
<li>Generate inventory risk alerts using data models and recommend mitigation actions.</li>
</ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Cross-Functional Collaboration</b></h3>
<ul><li>Serve as an analytical liaison to Operations, Manufacturing, and Procurement, providing insights and supporting cost-saving initiatives.</li>
<li>Present findings in production and operational meetings and support biannual and annual planning cycles.</li>
<li>Assist with annual inventory procedures to support compliant, accurate inventory records.</li>

<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Data Analytics, or related field.</li>
<li>Minimum <b>5 years of experience</b> in a supply-chain or analytically intensive role.</li>
<li>Proven expertise in data analysis, advanced data modeling, and supply-chain metrics.</li>
<li>Advanced proficiency with <b>Excel, Power BI</b>, and experience with <b>MRP/ERP systems</b>.</li>
<li>Strong mathematical reasoning and problem-solving skills with the ability to convert data into clear, actionable insights.</li>

<p>The Principal Engineer, Data Center Studies, is part of the Power Systems Engineering Division (PSED) at Mitsubishi Electric Power Products, Inc. (MEPPI). PSED serves as MEPPI's engineering and consultancy arm, helping grid operators, utilities, generators, and major energy users plan, design, and solve complex power system challenges. Our specialty is delivering tailored services that uncover insights beyond the surface and proactively address technical and commercial risks. Our focus is delivering dependable, low-friction project outcomes, reducing uncertainty around system reliability, schedule, compliance, complexity, stranded capital, and reputational exposure.</p>
<p></p><p>The Principal Engineer, Data Center Studies, will lead business growth and deliver sustained excellence in consulting and system studies for Electric Reliability Organizations (EROs), developers, and public and investor-owned utilities. This role focuses on transmission and distribution (T&amp;D) system planning, interconnection, operations, and equipment application. The engineer will identify, track, and support T&amp;D infrastructure development from early-stage concept through implementation, representing MEPPI as a recognized industry leader in power systems consulting and studies.</p>

<ul><li><b>Drive Business Growth:</b> Lead the expansion of consulting and system studies, specifically focusing on the data center market segment.</li>
<li><b>Strategic Planning:</b> Identify market opportunities, shape service offerings, and contribute to long-term strategic initiatives for MEPPI.</li>
<li><b>Industry Representation:</b> Serve as a recognized leader by actively participating in key forums such as <b>NERC, IEEE, and CIGRE</b> to maintain company visibility.</li>
<li><b>Primary SME:</b> Act as the lead Subject Matter Expert for Data Center consulting, supporting both internal teams and external clients.</li>
<li><b>T&amp;D Specialization:</b> Focus on transmission and distribution (T&amp;D) system planning, interconnection, operations, and equipment application.</li>
<li><b>Lifecycle Support:</b> Track and support infrastructure development from the early-stage conceptual phase through full implementation.</li>
<li><b>Advanced Power System Studies:</b> Conduct and oversee load flow, fault, dynamic, and protection studies tailored to high-availability facilities.</li>
<li><b>Grid Impact Assessment:</b> Evaluate the specific impacts of large-scale data centers on the broader transmission system.</li>

<p><b>What You Bring</b></p>
<p><b>Education/Experience</b></p>
<ul><li>Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with emphasis on electric power engineering, or equivalent technical discipline, and a minimum of 10 years of experience in power systems studies consulting field, electric utility system planning, or T&amp;D manufacturer's application engineering, or equivalent education and experience in areas key to the position.</li>
</ul>
<p><b>Skills/Knowledge</b></p>
<ul><li>Advanced knowledge of EROs, developers, and public and investor-owned utility business planning flow as related to initial feasibility, planning, engineering, implementation, and operations stages.</li>
<li>Advanced knowledge of regulatory, compliance, and resource/capacity/strategy assessment.</li>
<li>General knowledge of asset and operations management, environmental policy, and system hardening.</li>
<li>Advanced organization, presentation, communication, and technical writing skills.</li>
<li>Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.</li>
<li>Ability to work in a team environment and on several projects simultaneously.</li>
<li>Advanced computer skills with emphasis on MS Office products.
