</ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader">Key Responsibilities</h3> 
Patient coordinators perform a variety of tasks in support of physicians and other health professionals. These tasks include but are not limited to:
<ul>
<li><ul><li>Answer patient calls, take accurate messages and forward to the correct provider for resolution</li>
<li>Daily interaction with patients</li>
<li>Document all patient interactions through the electronic health records system</li>
<li>Maintain provider schedules</li>
<li>Promote a culture of caring through interactions with internal and external customers</li>
<li>Respond to patient emails received from the Patient Portal</li>
<li>Schedule a variety of complex procedures both with internal and external care facilities</li>
<li>Communicate effectively with insurance companies, verify coverage as needed</li>
<li>Monitor provider approval queue/inbox, sort and prioritize incoming information (faxes, emails, mail, and phone calls)</li>
<li>Coordinate the transmission and acquisition of patient records between health clinics</li>
<li>Monitor patient medication schedules, lab schedules, and work daily/weekly reports</li>
<li>Prepare forms for internal and external clinics</li>
<li>Serves as the back-up for several other departments</li>
<li>Any and all other duties as assigned

<li>Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) system preferred</li>

Patient Coordinator

<div>Job Purpose: Provide patient care and support for patients receiving monitored anesthesia care. The CRNA will participate in the preparation, administration and recovery of patients undergoing monitored anesthesia care for procedures in the ASCs. The CRNA will work independently or in conjunction with an Anesthesiologist and a Proceduralist to provide safe and high quality care for procedures in the ACSs. Other duties may include participating in other related activities as delineated by clinical and nonclinical responsibilities and needs of the department.

CRNA is paid a daily salary of $1,225, eligible for tenure incentives. In addition to this base salary, employees may be eligible for a bonus based on completing company, department and individual goals. This position would be eligible for medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(K) with company match and profit sharing.

Essential Functions: In order to perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily and regular attendance is required. Key Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Review patient history in pre-procedure setting in order to determine best practice care.</li>
<li>Develops plans of care for patients, in conjunction with an Anesthesiologist or Proceduralist</li>
<li>During procedure, monitor and assess the patient as well as administer anesthesia and manage the patient&rsquo;s reactions accordingly.</li>
<li>Ensures patients are stable for transfer of care to a recovery nurse.</li>
<li>Discharge patients from recovery as appropriate.</li>
</ul>
Clinical Responsibilities: Care will be delivered based on the Standards of Care as outlined by the AANA (American Association of Nurse Anesthetists) and the ASA (American Association of Anesthesiologists)

Educational Requirements: Graduate of a nurse anesthesia educational program accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs or its predecessor.

Certifications/Licenses:

<li>Holds current state licensure as a registered nurse and advanced practice nurse in the state of Minnesota. Complies with state statutory or regulatory requirements concerning advanced practice registered nursing.</li>
<li>Is currently certified by the Council on Certification of Nurses Anesthetists or its predecessor (NBCRNA)</li>
<li>Insurable by an appropriate medical malpractice insurer for the limits required by this institution or state.</li>
<li>Demonstrates current competency in nurse anesthesia clinical responsibilities;
<ul><li>Has a minimum of 2 years clinical experience in the field of nurse anesthesia</li>
<li>Provides references that demonstrates clinical competency in nurse anesthesia</li>
