Design and develop cloud-native applications and data platforms in agile, cross-functional teams - delivering valuable software in short iterations.</li><li>
Build and evolve our semantic knowledge layer platform on Azure; ontology modeling, data binding, knowledge graph interaction, AI-agent-based querying, and integrations with services such as Azure Databricks and Azure OpenAI.</li><li>
Depending on your background: deliver applications that bring use cases to life for users, or deliver the data products and insights that power them.</li><li>
Bring your Palantir Foundry expertise to the table in customer projects and in shaping how we approach ontology modeling, pipeline development and application building in our own platform.</li><li>
Own what you ship: deploy, operate and automate your applications in a cloud-native environment (Azure Container Apps, Kubernetes).</li><li>
Work AI-first: use AI coding assistants and agents as an integral part of your daily development workflow, and help evolve how we apply AI across our engineering practice.</li><li>
Test, validate, and iterate on features based on customer feedback and product metrics.</li><li>
Work closely with Product Owners and cross-functional teams, and translate user and business demands into clear and feasible engineering tasks.</li><li>
Make robust technical decisions and take ownership in driving products and platforms to the next level.</li><li>
Share your knowledge through code reviews, pair programming and active knowledge exchange, and help shape our engineering culture with new tools, methodologies and best practices.</li></ul><p></p><h4 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
This is you</b></h4><p><i>
At heart you are a passionate team player who values collaboration, feedback, and continuous improvement, as:</i></p><br>
<ul><li>
You have hands-on Palantir Foundry experience; ontology modeling, pipeline development, or Foundry application configuration.</li><li>
You have 5+ years of experience as a Cloud Native Software Engineer or Data Engineer.</li><li>
You have a solid academic background in Computer Science, Data Science, Data Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.</li><li>
You have a deep understanding of the full software development lifecycle and are familiar with CI/CD, containerization, infrastructure as code, and cloud platforms.</li><li>
You have a strong sense for code quality, documentation and maintainability, and you rely on metrics to guide your decisions while staying open to feedback.</li><li>
You are fluent in English, both spoken and written (German is a plus).</li><li>
You leverage AI coding tools (e.g. Claude Code, Cursor) as a natural part of how you build software, combining their speed with your own judgement on quality and correctness.</li><li>
Experience with knowledge graphs or semantic technologies beyond Foundry (e.g. RDF, OWL, SPARQL, property graphs) and with building AI agents / LLM-based features (e.g. Azure OpenAI) is a plus.</li></ul><p><b><br>
You specialize in one (or both) of the two:</b><br>

<b>Cloud Native Engineering</b></p><ul><li>
You have strong backend experience with TypeScript, or with Java/Kotlin and Spring Boot, and a track record of shipping applications to real users.</li><li>
You have experience designing and building APIs (GraphQL is a strong plus) and taking applications all the way to production in cloud environments.</li><li>
Exposure to frontend ecosystems like React is a plus.</li></ul><p><b>
Data Engineering</b></p><ul><li>
You have experience in either Python or Scala, and SQL.</li><li>
You have experience in semantic modelling of complex data landscapes and in turning them into use-case-ready data products that analytics and applications can consume.</li><li>
You know how to structure data pipelines for reliability, scalability and optimal performance (e.g. with Spark or Flink) with the goal of delivering trusted insights to users.</li><li>
Experience with cloud data technologies (Azure Databricks, Synapse, Snowflake, BigQuery) or real-time data pipelines (Kafka, Kinesis, Dataflow) is a plus.</li></ul><p></p><h4 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>

This role is pivotal in assessing on-premises environments, crafting migration plans, and execution of cloud transitions to Microsoft Azure. Execute cloud migration projects using Azure Migrate and related tools, including rehosting, re-platforming, and refactoring strategies.</li><li>
Assess on-premises infrastructure to determine cloud readiness and develop tailored migration roadmaps.</li><li>
Deploy and manage Azure networking components including VNets, NSGs, Application Gateways, and enterprise-scale landing zones.</li><li>
Migrate virtual machines, databases, and file shares with minimal downtime, ensuring issue resolution during replication, configuration, and post-migration phases.</li><li>
Optimize workloads for cost-efficiency, scalability, and performance using tools such as Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and auto-scaling.</li><li>
Create and maintain comprehensive migration playbooks, runbooks, and progress reporting for stakeholders.</li><li>
Stay current with Azure platform updates and recommend innovative tools or process improvements.</li><li>
Provide post-migration technical support, ensuring environments remain secure, resilient, and compliant with best practices.</li><li>

This is you</b></h4><p></p><ul><li>
You have 3+ years of experience in system engineering or cloud infrastructure roles.</li><li>
You have proven hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, especially in cloud migration projects.</li><li>
You have strong expertise in on-premises technologies such as VMware vCenter, Hyper-V, Windows &amp; Linux administration, and Active Directory (DNS, DHCP, GPO, DC).</li><li>
You have solid experience with Azure services including VMs, Update Manager, SQL Servers, NSGs, vNETs, Application Gateways, ExpressRoute, VPNs, Storage Accounts, and Azure Monitor.</li><li>
You are familiar with VMware HCX and tools like Azure Migrate.</li><li>
You have experience with cloud governance and security using Defender 365, Entra ID, and Firewall configurations.</li><li>
You have excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.</li><li>
