<div>Description:

The Repair Welder is responsible for repairing and fabricating metal components using Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW/MIG) and other welding processes in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications. This role requires attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to produce high-quality work while supporting equipment repair and manufacturing operations. Occasional nationwide travel may be required.
Requirements: 
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITES:<ul><li>
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, job travelers, and work instructions.</li><li>
Verify material quality, quantities, and specifications prior to welding.</li><li>
Set up and operate welding equipment according to job requirements.</li><li>
Weld small and large components in flat, vertical, horizontal, and overhead positions.</li><li>
Cut, trim, grind, and prepare materials for welding using hand tools and plasma or torch equipment.</li><li>
Inspect completed welds and measurements to ensure compliance with quality standards.</li><li>
Accurately log time and completion of job tasks</li><li>
Safely operate cranes, hoists, and material-handling equipment.</li><li>
Maintain welding equipment and tools in safe working condition.</li><li>
Follow all safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment (PPE).</li><li>
Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.</li><li>
Assist with other duties and special projects as assigned.</li></ul> 
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Education &amp; Experience<ul><li>Welding training and experience required.</li><li>Associate degree or technical certification in welding preferred.</li><li>Proven welding experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, or repair environment.</li></ul>
Preferred Competencies<ul><li>Proficiency with MIG welding and familiarity with other welding processes.</li><li>Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.</li><li>Experience using hand and power tools, measuring devices, and fabrication equipment.</li><li>Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.</li><li>Knowledge of workplace safety practices and safe equipment operation.</li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook for communication and documentation.</li><li>Ability to maintain DOT logbooks and utilize ELD/mobile app software for compliance and recordkeeping.</li><li>Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.</li></ul>
Physical Requirements<ul><li>Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, and lifting.</li><li>Frequently lift up to 50 lbs.; occasionally lift over 100 lbs. with assistance.</li><li>Ability to safely use welding, fabrication, and material-handling equipment.</li><li>Requires hearing, vision, speech, tactile awareness, and depth perception necessary to perform welding and inspection tasks.</li></ul></div>
