SENIOR INTERIOR DESIGNERABOUT MODERN NESTModern Nest Homes is the design division within the Modern Nest brand, dedicated to crafting elevatedprivate client residences and luxury spec homes. Our studio has an immediate need for an experienced, fulltime Senior Interior Designer to join our close-knit, collaborative team. Reporting to the Design Director, thisrole serves as a key creative and project management leader across all phases of large-scale, high-endresidential projects, including both renovations and new builds.We are seeking a designer with at least five years of professional experience, a strong architecturalbackground, and a refined point of view that complements the Modern Nest aesthetic&mdash;someone who canseamlessly step in and lead multiple projects with confidence. While local candidates are preferred, we arealso open to hybrid, remote, and freelance arrangements for the right candidate.WHO YOU AREYou are passionate about thoughtful design, highly organized, and comfortable managing multiple tasks andtimelines across large-scale residential projects. You communicate clearly, collaborate effectively with clientsand vendors, and bring a positive, solutions-oriented approach to the studio. As a senior team member, youwork closely with leadership and take an active role in mentoring junior designers. You possess a strongarchitectural foundation, technical expertise, and a refined design sensibility. You are motivated to growwithin a supportive, collaborative environment and are committed to building long-term impact within thestudio.RESPONSIBILITIES<ul><li>Lead the design and execution of high-end residential projects from concept through construction</li></ul>completion<ul><li>Develop design concepts that align with client goals while reflecting the Modern Nest aesthetic and</li></ul>standards<ul><li>Produce and oversee comprehensive design documentation, including plans, elevations, details, and</li></ul>specifications<ul><li>Draft and coordinate drawings in AutoCAD (Revit/Rhino experience a plus), and review/redline architectural</li></ul>and consultant drawing sets<ul><li>Collaborate closely with architects and builders to ensure design intent is carried through all technical</li></ul>phases of the project<ul><li>Source and specify furniture, materials, finishes, plumbing, lighting, and hardware with a strong</li></ul>understanding of performance and application<ul><li>Contribute to the development and management of project budgets, schedules, and procurement</li></ul>processes<ul><li>Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and consultants to support seamless project execution</li><li>Participate in site visits, oversee installations, and support final styling to ensure a fully realized design</li></ul>outcome<ul><li>Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, consultants, and internal team members</li><li>Mentor and guide junior designers, providing oversight, feedback, and support in their professional</li></ul>development<ul><li>Contribute to a positive, collaborative studio culture with a proactive and solutions-oriented mindset</li><li>Degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or related field</li><li>Minimum 5 years of professional residential design experience</li><li>Excellent communication skills, written and verbal</li><li>Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit and/or Rhino, Google Drive, Google Sheets, and Adobe Creative Suite</li><li>Strong understanding of materials, finishes, lighting, millwork, and construction standards</li><li>Based in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area with the ability to attend on-site meetings, or willing to travel to</li></ul>Arizona or other project locations for key project milestones.<ul><li>Fully authorized to work in the U.S.</li></ul>OUR CULTUREModern Nest is an AD featured studio with a close and supportive team that values collaboration, mutualrespect, beautifully executed work, and genuinely good times.
