 Position Summary:
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Provide trade compliance-related expertise and compliance project leadership in order to meet the needs of MGTA customers.
 </li>
 <li>
 Provide support for import compliance program needs for clients as assigned.
 </li>
 <li>
 Lead Global Trade Management projects, as needed, to ensure the highest levels of delivered services.
 </li>
 <li>
 Perform training for MGTA clients, as requested, along with other related duties.
 
 
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 Essential Duties &amp; Responsibilities:
 
 
 
 
 Tariff Classification:
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Research Part Specifications
 </li>
 <ul>
 <li>
 Review customers&rsquo; engineering systems
 </li>
 <li>
 Contact customer engineers
 </li>
 <li>
 Conduct Internet searches
 </li>
 </ul>
 <li>
 Review Harmonized Tariff System
 </li>
 <ul>
 <li>
 Evaluate chapter and section notes
 </li>
 <li>
 Site General Rules of Interpretation (GRI)
 </li>
 <li>
 Assign classifications and provide/document supporting data
 </li>
 </ul>
 <li>
 Document Classification Determination
 </li>
 <ul>
 <li>
 Determine rationale behind classification
 </li>
 <li>
 Provide/identify information source (i.e., system, engineer, website) from which the product specifications were obtained
 
 </li>
 </ul>
 </ul>
 
 Potential Additional Responsibilities:
 
 
 
 
 Post Summary Correction (PSC) and Protest Management:
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Entry preparation and submission through CargoWise(PSC/Protest)
 </li>
 <li>
 Complete CBP inquiries to determine status of filed PSC and protests
 </li>
 <li>
 Refund Tracking and Distribution
 
 
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 FTA Qualification &amp; Solicitation:
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Analyze product data and supplier documentation to determine eligibility under applicable FTAs (e.g., USMCA, CAFTA, EU FTAs).
 </li>
 <li>
 Coordinate with suppliers to obtain necessary origin documentation and declarations.
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintain records of FTA qualifications and ensure audit readiness
 
 
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 Education:
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in international Trade, Business, Supply Chain Management or other field preferred
 </li>
 <li>
 Licensed Customs Broker or minimum 5 years of import experience including knowledge of:
 </li>
 <ul>
 <li>
 Import Harmonized Tariff System (HTS) and classification (2 years)
 </li>
 </ul>
 <li>
 Experience preparing and submitting Post Summary Corrections and Protests to CBP
 
 
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 Knowledge, Skills &amp; Abilities:
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Knowledge of US Customs regulations and compliance procedures
 </li>
 <li>
 Knowledge of Other Government Agency (OGA) regulations related to import compliance
 </li>
 <li>
 Working knowledge of the Harmonized Tariff System (HTS-US)
 </li>
 <li>
 Knowledge of Export Control Classification Numbers (ECCN)and Schedule B classifications
 </li>
 <li>
 Excellent writing, communication and presentation skills
 </li>
 <li>
 Highly organized
 </li>
 <li>
 Process oriented
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to work with individuals in a team structure
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to work with clients and represent MGL/MGTA in a highly professional manner
 </li>
 <li>
 Working knowledge &amp; capabilities with standard desktop computer tools (MS Office)
 </li>
 <ul>
 <li>
 Advanced skill level of MS Access and MS Excel preferred
 </li>
 <li>
 Visio experience
 </li>
 </ul>
 <li>
 Working knowledge of customs compliance database tools and software
 </li>
 <li>
 Working knowledge of CargoWise
 </li>
 <li>
 Familiarity with third-party trade compliance tools
