1. Kentucky Certificate, Emergency Certificate(apply after hire), or 5 or 10 year Certificate
 for Substitute Teaching.
2. Such additional qualifications as the Superintendent or Board may find appropriate and
 acceptable.

SUPERVISES: Not Applicable 
JOB GOAL : To enable each child to pursue his education as smoothly and completely as possible in the absence of his/her regular teacher. 
<h1 class="jobSectionHeader">PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES 
</h1><div><ul><li>Reports to the building Principal or school secretary upon arrival at the school building.
</li></ul><ul><li>Reviews with the Principal, department head, or team leader all plans and schedules to be followed during the teaching day.
</li></ul><ul><li>Maintains as fully as possible the established routines and procedures of the school classroom to which he/she is assigned.
</li></ul><ul><li>Teaches the lesson as outlined or planned by the regular teacher.
</li></ul><ul><li>Consults, as appropriate, with the building Principal, department head, or team leader before initiating any teaching or other procedures not specified in the classroom lesson plans.
</li></ul><ul><li>Assumes responsibility for overseeing pupil behavior in class, during lunch, recess periods and other breaks.
</li></ul><ul><li>Reports in writing on the day&rsquo;s activities at the conclusion of each teaching day.
</li></ul><ul><li>Follows all policies, rules, and procedures to which regular teachers are subject and which good teaching practice dictates.
</li></ul>Performs such other tasks and assumes such other responsibilities as may be assigned by the Principal or the Superintendent.

EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Substitute Teachers Handbook.</div>
