Working with the wider LAO P&amp;C team to ensure the delivery of people programs and initiatives across all facets, align P&amp;C initiatives and business objectives, ensuring P&amp;C practices support productivity and efficiency including workforce trends, employee engagement, training &amp; development, workplace safety, employee recognition, rewards &amp; benefits, employee relations, and health &amp; wellbeing (trends absenteeism, overtime, turnover).Qualifications<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.</li><li>3+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a business partner or generalist role.</li><li>Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.</li><li>Excellent interpersonal, communication, and consulting skills.</li><li>Proven ability to build relationships and influence at all levels of the organization.</li><li>Experience with HRIS systems and data analysis tools.</li><li>HR certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) is a plus.</li></ul>ResponsibilitiesEmployee Relations &amp; Workforce Support<ul><li>Serve as the first point of contact for all Tacoma, WA employees regarding P&amp;C related questions, policies, and workplace concerns.</li><li>Coach and advise managers on performance management, conflict resolution, and corrective actions.</li><li>Partner with VP of P&amp;C to investigate and resolve complaints, grievances and disciplinary issues fairly and consistently.</li></ul>Recruitment, Selection, and On-boarding<ul><li>Partner with LAO P&amp;C team and hiring manager to identify staffing needs</li><li>Conduct candidate screening and participate in interviews as needed;</li><li>Manage all staff inductions and ensure training and relevant paperwork is completed and filed;</li><li>Manage the on-boarding process, as well as the termination process; and</li></ul>Benefit Administration<ul><li>Manage benefit and 401k enrolment and change processing using relevant system and ensure accurate record keeping,</li><li>Partner with broker to address benefit inquiries;</li><li>Provide recommendations to improve process efficiency where able;</li><li>Assist in Open Enrolment preparation and document processing; and</li><li>Support the P&amp;C Manager with benefit related activities, as needed.</li></ul>Performance Management and Recognition/Rewards<ul><li>Help to drive the Moose Performance Management Program (MPMP) and other relevant programs, in accordance with timelines;</li><li>Assist with the annual Salary benchmarking process and maintain records accordingly;</li><li>Work with People Managers to guide and support them with the performance management of staff as required; and</li><li>Oversee the implementation of the Moose Reward and Recognition programs.</li></ul>Training and Development<ul><li>Coordinate training programs for new hires and required safety protocols;</li><li>Manage and maintain training rosters;</li><li>Manage training records to ensure employee attendance where required and accurate and timely record keeping;</li><li>Manage training calendar for US, partnering with L&amp;D to ensure courses are scheduled in line with L&amp;D requirements and strategy;</li><li>Manage staff communications pertaining to training events as required; and</li><li>Assist in the review of annual training and development activities to determine success and areas for improvement.</li></ul>Occupational Health and Safety &amp; Well-Being<ul><li>Ensure compliance with OSHA, WISHA, and other relevant workplace safety regulations.</li><li>Partner with Safety Officers and management to conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments.</li><li>Support the development, communication, and enforcement of health and safety policies and procedures.</li><li>Maintain accurate records of incidents, injuries, and corrective actions.</li><li>Participate in investigations of workplace accidents or near-misses, ensuring root cause analysis and follow-up actions are completed.</li><li>Coordinate with Workers&rsquo; Compensation providers and manage return-to-work programs.</li><li>Coordinate safety training for new hires and ongoing refresher courses for all employees.</li></ul>Miscellaneous P&amp;C Activities<ul><li>Responsible to maintain local and multi-state compliance postings, forms and pamphlets;</li><li>Maintain employment and confidential files to ensure organization, compliance and confidentiality;</li><li>Maintain HRIS data input and provide support and guidance to employees related to relevant HRIS processes;</li><li>Maintain payroll data input and provide support and guidance to employees related to relevant payroll portal and processes;</li><li>Assist with local and/or global P&amp;C campaigns including planning, coordination and execution</li><li>Assist with social event planning, coordination and execution</li></ul>Work Hours8:30am &ndash;
