As a small family business, we take pride in offering high-quality apparel, footwear, outdoor gear, and lifestyle products,and pride ourselves in providing exceptional customer service.We are seeking a Buyer&rsquo;s Assistant to support our buying/ purchasing team with crucial computer, clerical and administrative tasks. If you have strong organizational skills, are computer literate with advanced EXCEL knowledge, and have a keen eye for fashion this could be a great opportunity to advance into a Merchandise Buyer role in the future.Responsibilities:<ul><li>Assist in data entry, order tracking, and inventory management.</li><li>Maintain and update product spreadsheets, purchase orders, and reports.</li><li>Communicate with vendors to confirm orders, pricing, and shipping details</li><li>Responsible for administrative duties within the buying process, including order entries and managing deliveries assisting with sales analysis and in-season management of stock</li><li>Assist with in-store displays.</li><li>Organize samples and help with product merchandising.</li><li>Work closely with the buying team to support seasonal planning and markdown strategies.</li><li>Manage in season vendor price changes.</li><li>Executing markdowns detailed by the Merchandise Manager.</li><li>Accurately completes the restock report when needed.</li><li>Audits inventory representation on the sales floor regularly.</li><li>Develop a familiarity with the receiving process.</li><li>Other duties assigned by management.</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>Strong Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.</li><li>Most of this work is done in Excel.</li><li>You will need to pass an assessment of your Excel abilities to be considered for this position.</li><li>Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.</li><li>Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Strong communication skills and ability to work well with a team.</li><li>Prior retail or buying experience is a plus but not required.</li><li>Passion for clothing and footwear, and knowledge of outdoor apparel, footwear and gear is a plus.</li></ul>Why Join Us?<ul><li>Opportunity to learn and grow into a Merchandise Buyer position.</li><li>Work with a tight-knit, passionate team in a fun and dynamic retail environment.</li><li>Work for an industry leader in the outdoor retail environment.</li><li>Enjoy the outdoor lifestyle in beautiful Brevard, NC</li></ul>If you&rsquo;re passionate about retail and analytics, and have an eye for fashion we want to hear from you!
