 The Corporate Derivatives Trading desk within the Institutional Equity Division is responsible for pricing, trading, and risk-managing both vanilla and complex derivative products for corporate clients of the firm. Products range from vanilla options to more complex exotic payoffs and margin lending. Trades typically consist of single stock underliers, but given the complexity of some of the risks, members of the desk must be able to understand a wide variety of instruments and financial markets.
 
 
 
 Traders On The Team Are Responsible For
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Pricing and structuring of margin loans and derivatives transactions for corporate and wealth clients
 </li>
 <li>
 Collaborating with members of the Global Capital Markets and IED derivatives teams on idea generation and structuring of client requests
 </li>
 <li>
 Conducting research on stocks / companies in order to evaluate risks and make trading decisions
 </li>
 <li>
 Daily risk management and hedging of the trading books, including close interaction with other traders and brokers
 </li>
 <li>
 Driving forward new technology and infrastructure projects with IT and desk strategists
 
 
 </li>
 </ul>
 The trading desk currently consists of a small team looking to hire a senior associate/VP level candidate to help with all the above responsibilities.
 
 
 The ideal candidate will have minimum 2-3 years experience on margin loans and derivatives engineering and trading with an ability to understand more complex payoffs, and will be proactive, a team player, and willing to learn and take on responsibility quickly.

 Expected base pay rates will be between $150,000 and $250,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.

Outsourced Chief Investment Officer (&ldquo;OCIO&rdquo;) group partners with Morgan Stanley Financial Advisors across all channels to offer full discretion portfolio management services to institutional and private clients (e.g., Defined Benefit plans, Endowments, Foundations, Ultra-High Net-Worth, Family Offices, etc.) of Morgan Stanley Wealth Management.
Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Help Senior Portfolio Managers build and manage client portfolios, which includes development of the investment policy statement, customized portfolio construction, manager selection, portfolio implementation, ongoing portfolio rebalances and periodic client reviews and updates
</li><li>Engage with clients to perform client discovery, draft investment policy statements, provide quarterly reporting, and other tasks relevant to the OCIO space
</li><li>Maintain ongoing and proactive monitoring of account positioning
</li><li>Gain full functional knowledge of Morgan Stanley&rsquo;s proprietary portfolio management tools
</li><li>Participate in OCIO meetings and calls and get full understanding of OCIO market strategy and portfolio positioning.
</li><li>Help Senior Portfolio Managers develop portfolios and market content for finals presentations
</li><li>Manage outflows, inflows on accounts and make sure that capital calls on the illiquid side of the portfolios are matched
</li><li>Interface and support the connectivity with internal and external partners including research, trading, operations, product specialists, third party vendors and custodians
</li></ul>Knowledge and Skills Required:
<ul><li>3+ years of experience servicing pensions and/or government entities, or other institutions in a wealth management or investment consulting capacity
</li><li>Experience and knowledge in investment/ wealth management platforms and vehicles, including managed account platforms, mutual funds, ETFs, separate accounts, and alternative investments.
</li><li>Experience and knowledge in global capital markets, technical expertise across asset classes.
</li><li>Firm understanding of portfolio management concepts including modern portfolio theory, asset allocation, portfolio construction, manager selection, risk management and performance attribution.
</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel and PowerPoint
</li><li>Must be very detail-oriented, with an ability to multi-task and handle multiple priorities.
</li><li>Strong organizational and project management skills
