Available Shifts: 7am-3pm, 3pm-11pm, 11pm-7am, All part-time, 3 days per week, 8 hour shifts, including 1 weekend day.

Med Tech CMA - Essential Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Administers medications as ordered by a physician under the supervision of a licensed nurse, in accordance with any state and federal regulations and consistent with community policy.</li><li>
Must demonstrate knowledge of &ldquo;five rights&rdquo; of medication administration.</li><li>
Administers and records all medication given to residents&rsquo; based upon their specific chart.</li><li>
May take and record vital signs of residents as assigned or as may be required by certain medications.</li><li>
Med Tech CMA records the administration of medications and/or treatments appropriately, utilizing the computer system to enter and reference resident information as needed.</li><li>
Observes and reports any reactions and/or side effects of medications to a licensed nurse immediately.</li><li>
Administers PRN medications in accordance with state and federal regulations and consistent with facility policy.</li><li>
Ensure antiseptic techniques and good hand-washing practices for infection control, as well as utilizing universal precautions.</li><li>
Med Tech CMA reports and when appropriate, records any changes observed in condition or behavior of residents and unusual incidents.</li><li>
Submit incident/accident reports to supervisor or Administrator within twenty‐four (24) hours after their occurrence.</li><li>
Communicates with medical staff, nursing service and other department supervisors.</li><li>
Med Tech CMA supervises care staff in absence of nurses.</li><li>
Maintains, cleans and organizes the Medication Room.</li><li>
Maintains a liaison with other department supervisors to adequately plan for resident activities.</li><li>
Attends all required training, in-service and staff meetings</li><li>
May be subject to the handling of and exposure to hazardous chemicals.</li><li>
May be subject to exposure to infectious waste, diseases, conditions, etc, including TB and the AIDS and Hepatitis B viruses.</li><li>
Maintain resident confidentiality, staff confidentiality; treat staff and residents with kindness, dignity and respect.</li><li>
Comply with Resident&rsquo;s Rights rules.</li></ul> 
Med Tech CMA - Requirements:<ul><li>
A High School Diploma or General Education Degree; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.</li><li>
Certified Medication Aide certification required.</li></ul>
