We&rsquo;re expanding our Data &amp; AI team and looking for a senior/lead contributor who has hands-on LLM app/agent experience and is fluent in classical ML. You&rsquo;ll own end-to-end LLM/ML initiatives - from problem framing and modeling to evaluation, deployment, and iteration - directly improving core product workflows (invoice understanding, approval matching, reconciliation, anomaly detection, and user-assist).
Your responsibilities<ul><li>
Own LLM/ML pipelines for extraction, classification, anomaly detection, and recommendations.</li><li>
Define evaluation &amp; monitoring: gold sets, automated tests, robustness checks, SLAs, and cost/latency tracking.</li><li>
Productionize with Platform/Data Eng: bring your models live and iterate/improve until they are adopted by your stakeholders</li></ul>
About you<ul><li>
5-10+ years in applied ML with production ownership of shipping models/systems.</li><li>
Hands-on LLM app/agent experience (tool use/function calling, RAG, structured outputs, guardrails) in production.</li><li>
Strong Python + ML stack (e.g., scikit-learn, XGBoost/LightGBM, PyTorch/TF) and solid experiment/evaluation skills.</li></ul><ul><li>
Strategic Problem Solver: You approach ambiguous problems by deeply understanding business context and framing data science solutions that drive meaningful outcomes. You rigorously validate assumptions, identify root causes, and prioritize solving the right problem before building.</li><li>
End-to-End Executor: You independently own projects from ideation to production, balancing model performance with engineering realities. You ensure solutions are scalable, monitored, and maintained with thoughtful evaluation, deployment, and iteration strategies</li></ul>

Senior Data Scientist (f/m/d)

Moss is making a significant investment in AI tooling - and this role exists to turn that investment into measurable outcomes. As the first dedicated hire focused on agentic developer experience, you will build the tools, modular skills, guardrails, and infrastructure that help engineers across the company move faster and more safely with AI.
You will report to the Director of Engineering and sit within a Platform Engineering team of around eight people, working alongside Platform, Data, and AI Engineers. The problems here are rarely well-defined upfront - this role is for someone who identifies what needs solving, not someone who waits for a Jira ticket.
Your responsibilities<ul><li>
Build a developer productivity measurement platform integrating GitHub, Linear, Slack, and CI/CD signals into a coherent view of delivery flow</li><li>
Identify and remove friction from engineering workflows: slow pipelines, poor feedback loops, unclear ownership, and noisy alerting</li><li>
Define, deploy, and iterate on AI tooling for local development, including IDE integrations, agentic tools, MCP servers, and model integrations such as Claude and Codex</li><li>
Build the guardrails that make AI adoption safe: prompt logging, data classification boundaries, an approved model catalogue, and usage observability</li><li>
Understand the workflows of engineering and product teams to surface bottlenecks, systemic issues, and drive improvements with their buy-in.</li><li>
Write documentation that engineers actually use: runbooks, adoption guides, and decision records</li></ul>
About you<ul><li>
8+ years of experience in cloud-native startups, FinTechs, or high-volume engineering environments</li><li>
3+ years working in a team focused on developer experience</li><li>
1-2 years using modern agentic tools in a professional setting</li><li>
5+ years building integrations between services</li><li>
Business fluent in English (C1 or above)</li></ul>
