 Summary
 
 
 
 The Inventory Data Analyst ensures all locations are properly managing inventory in order to maximize profits and customer service. This position consults company representatives on proper business practices in inventory management and inventory operations including prevention, identification, and disposition of excess inventory. Furthermore, the Inventory Data Analyst is a change agent for promoting new inventory disciplines and culture. In addition, this position will work with cross functional teams to develop new programs to increase operational efficiencies based on studies of past, present, and future data trends.
 
 
 
 This position is located in Cedar Rapids, IA.
 
 
 
 
 Job Duties
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Enforces Motion's inventory policies and procedures in daily communication with field leadership.
 </li>
 <li>
 Understands data governance and control distribution of company inventory data points.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensures full compliance of audit policies of Obsolescence Program and Physical Inventory / DC Mock Inventory.
 </li>
 <li>
 Finds new insights and trends which helps identify and solve complicated supply chain problems.
 </li>
 <li>
 Creates automatic dashboards using current or future tools.
 </li>
 <li>
 Collaborates with all areas of the supply chain to identify and understand inventory opportunities.
 </li>
 <li>
 Builds simulation models which forecast outcomes of changes to policies or procedures.
 </li>
 <li>
 Delivers comprehensive reports in a presentation or written.
 </li>
 <li>
 Works with the IT Department to enhance current and future inventory systems.
 </li>
 <li>
 Creates and delivers critical inventory trainings.
 </li>
 <li>
 Supports excess inventory initiatives.
 </li>
 <li>
 Participants in the annual inventory business plan.
 </li>
 <li>
 Performs other duties as assigned.

 Education &amp; Experience
 
 
 
 Typically requires a bachelor's degree in business, statistics, analytics, or equivalent field work experience. Requires experience managing projects. Background in quantitative thinking and statistical data analysis.
 
 
 
 Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

 Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Access, Excel and SQL.
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong analytical problem solving skills.
 </li>

BI Data Analyst

<div>SUMMARY:
Under general supervision, the Corporate Fulfillment Analyst analyzes, monitors, and follows up on the Distribution Center / Fulfillment Center vendor purchase to pay processes. The Corporate Fulfillment Analyst&rsquo;s goal is to ensure Motion Industries has visibility to all orders in transit with timely receipts of orders; supporting the corporate supply chain goal of having the right inventory, in the right location, in the right quantity to create accessibility and profitability for the organization.
JOB DUTIES<ul><li>
Confirms vendor receipt and estimated ship dates, monitors order status, follows up on late orders and proactively expedites orders.</li><li>
Builds relationships with strategic suppliers, monitors / reports on receipt of material, and improves order visibility for Motion Industries Distribution and Fulfillment Centers.</li><li>
Serves as the key contact for Motion&rsquo;s North American branches and sales offices by facilitating branch orders made through the DC / FC network.</li><li>
Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement by leveraging data to support decision making.</li><li>
Utilizes critical thinking and strong data analysis skills to ensure order fulfillment and visibility.</li><li>
Observes data patterns to identify opportunities for process optimization.</li></ul>
Monitors the order life cycle after order placement through receipt.<ul><li>
Leverages BI tools to execute order management and drive data accuracy.</li><li>
Maintains a customer-centric approach in communications to branches, sales offices, and vendors.</li><li>
Demonstrates creative problem solving and a continuous improvement mindset while actively participating in the process.</li><li>
Collaborates effectively in a team environment, but has high individual motivation.</li><li>
Performs other duties as assigned.</li></ul>
EDUCATION &amp; EXPERIENCE<ul><li>
Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Business, Statistics, or Supply Chain or three (3) to five (5) years of equivalent experience.</li></ul>

Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills</li><li>
Advanced problem solving and critical analysis skills</li><li>
Data driven</li><li>
Strong time management skills and the ability to see a project through from conception to delivery</li><li>

Advanced Excel skill required; knowledge of SQL preferred</li><li>

Corporate Fulfillment Analyst

<div>SUMMARY:
The Product Information Management (PIM) Data Analyst is responsible for managing and enhancing the quality of product data within the organization's PIM system. This role executes a structured approach to the collection, creation, maintenance and distribution of master product data through product information management. This role is responsible for the integrity of the organization's master product data systems.
JOB DUTIES<ul><li>
Creates, inputs, reviews, approves and distributes product master data using various tools and workflows. Works with vendors and third parties to collect and update data.</li><li>
Manages data requests in support of business processes, new product sales initiatives, and mergers and acquisitions.</li><li>
Drives excellence and ensures continuous improvement in quality of data through cleansing and best practices for data construction.</li><li>
Provides input into the development of PIM data collection templates and workflows.</li><li>
Works collaboratively as a data steward within teams to ensure clear understanding of business requirements that are managed in concert with PIM data.</li><li>
Identifies opportunities to gain efficiencies, automate, and improve data quality.</li><li>
Partners with cross functional stakeholders to support business needs.</li><li>
Ensures data output feeds are successful, troubleshooting and/or updating as required.</li><li>
Performs other duties as assigned.</li></ul>
EDUCATION &amp; EXPERIENCE<ul><li>
Typically requires a bachelor's degree in business, operations, marketing or a related field and zero (0) to two (2) years of related experience or an equivalent combination.</li></ul>
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES<ul><li>
Ability to work in a team environment.</li><li>
Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).</li><li>
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.</li><li>
Desire to understand how things work and provide ideas for improvement.</li><li>
Strong analytical problem solving skills.</li><li>
Knowledge of workflow management techniques such as Lean Six Sigma, Kanban, etc.</li><li>
Experience with product information management tools (Stibo, Salsify, inRiver, Oracle, etc).</li><li>
Experience with data BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Qlik, etc.).</li><li>
