<div>SUMMARY:
The Software and Vision Engineer at Motion Ai will design and develop software to support the development of machine vision algorithms and solutions for industrial 2D &amp; 3D machine vision inspection systems. The software will be deployed to a wide range of industries utilizing an array of technologies (C, C++, C#, .NET, SQL, etc.). The Software and Vision Engineer will integrate and build supporting frameworks for use with commercial vision sensor platforms.
The Software and Vision Engineer is also responsible for defining the vision design, identifying the sensors, optics and lighting needed to solve the machine vision problems.
You must be eligible to work in the US without visa sponsorship.
JOB DUTIES:<ul><li>
Design, build and support software applications (C, C++, C#, .NET, SQL, etc.).</li><li>
Design, build and support software library interfaces to common vision tools.</li><li>
Define sensors, lighting and optics for solving machine vision problems.</li><li>
Mechanical and Electrical aptitude is a plus and must have potential to be developed by candidate</li><li>
Ability to work on a professional team with a willingness to learn and grow with the company.
</li><li>Perform other work-related duties as assigned.</li><li>
Work as a member of a design team, cooperating with management in an effective manner to perform engineering work of a high quality, with no errors. Prepare and submit reports as required to keep management updated on project status.
</li><li>Maintain and continually improve technical and professional abilities described above and required to perform assigned tasks.</li><li>
Proficiency in Office 365</li></ul> 
EDUCATION &amp; EXPERIENCE: 
Typically requires a bachelor's degree in engineering and five (5) to seven (7) years of related experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:<ul><li>
The ability to work with co-workers, customers, and suppliers in a courteous and tactful manner to resolve problems.</li><li>
Must be able to analyze many variables and choose the most effective course of action given the situation. Must be able to resolve problems, handle conflict, and make effective decisions under pressure.</li><li>
Good verbal and written communication skills required.</li><li>
A motivated, self-starter with the ability to follow directions and complete assignments with minimal supervision.</li><li>
Excellent time management and organizational skills, the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks/projects.</li><li>
Maintain professional appearance/demeanor and a positive attitude under stress.</li><li>
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.</li></ul>
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:<ul><li>
Specific safety training to work in dangerous and extreme environment conditions while collecting data or commissioning new systems at the customer&rsquo;s location.</li><li>
20% Domestic and International Travel</li><li>
May require standing on concrete shop or facility floor for extended periods of time</li></ul>
