This position is First Shift from 5:30am - 3:30pm, Monday - Thursday with limited overtime during the week.
Motis Manufacturing Center has been manufacturing lightweight aluminum ramp systems for over 30 years. Using innovative designs and lightweight aluminum alloys, Motis Manufacturing Center has created a unique product assortment that enables our customers to solve loading, hauling or transportation challenges safely and at a reasonable cost. Our lightweight aluminum products are far superior to steel alternatives as they never rust, are light and easy to handle but are built-strong to never fail.
Motis Manufacturing is looking for an Aluminum MIG (Metal Inert Gas) Welder. Candidate will specialize in joining pieces of aluminum together using MIG welding techniques.<ul><li>
Reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and welding specifications to determine the appropriate welding techniques and materials required for the job.</li><li>
Operating and maintaining welding equipment, including MIG welders, and other tools.</li><li>
Setting up the MIG welding machine to the appropriate settings for the specific job.</li><li>
Following established welding procedures to ensure that finished products meet quality and safety standards.</li><li>
Inspecting completed welds for defects, such as cracks, voids, and other imperfections, and performing necessary repairs.</li><li>
Maintaining a clean and organized work area, including keeping welding equipment in good condition and properly storing materials.</li><li>
Communicating with supervisors and other team members to discuss project requirements, progress, and any issues that may arise.</li><li>
Maintaining a safe work environment by following all safety procedures and guidelines.</li><li>
Adhering to project schedules and deadlines.</li><li>
Continuously learning and improving welding skills and techniques.</li><li>
Passing AWS qualification within first 90 days of hire.</li></ul><ul><li>
Be able to follow directions in a fast-paced environment while completing jobs in allotted time frames.</li><li>
Have great communication skills and be detail oriented.</li><li>
Strong ability to read and understand welding specifications, shop drawings, and blueprints.</li><li>
Ability to work independently or in a team</li><li>
Strong problem-solving skills</li><li>
Ability to work under pressure</li></ul>
