Position Summary The Dairy Lab Technician is responsible for accurately performing analytical and bacteriological testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished product in accordance with company policies and procedures. To be considered for this position you must have at least 1 year of prior experience in a dairy lab or similar setting. Must be able to follow SOPs, written instructions, and procedures precisely. If you do not meet these requirements, you will not be considered for this position.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:<ul><li>Demonstrate and promote the vision and goals of Moundview Dairy</li><li>Regular attendance and punctuality</li><li>Apply GMP/GLP in all areas of responsibility</li><li>Report non-conformances to Management</li><li>Compile and maintain accurate inspection reports and records</li><li>Basic maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment</li><li>Analyze facts or circumstances surrounding individual problems to offer suggestions of what action should be taken within the limits of standard practices</li><li>Investigate and determine cause of non-conformances and consult production supervisors as to corrective measures</li><li>Help cover lab staff during vacations and absences</li><li>Maintain a clean and safe laboratory work environment</li><li>Conduct all activities in a safe and efficient manner</li><li>Performing other duties as requested, directed, or assigned</li></ul>Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)<ul><li>Previous work in a dairy laboratory, analytical laboratory, or manufacturing industry a plus, but not required</li><li>Must be able to learn to operate all laboratory testing equipment /instruments: FoodScan, Chloride Analyzer, pH meter, etc.</li><li>Basic understanding of microbiological testing</li><li>Must have a basic understanding of Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Office</li></ul>Physical Requirements for production positions regularly include:<ul><li>Frequent movement including walking, standing, bending/stooping, turning, twisting, pushing, pulling, raising arms, lifting, climbing and other active movements</li><li>Performing duties while wearing personal protective equipment</li><li>Working across temperature zones that may include cold and/or hot environments for extended periods and may include work in environments where dust is present</li><li>Shift schedules includes days, nights, and a few possible weekends, possible holidays and periodic overtime</li><li>Ability to climb short ladders</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>Dairy Lab: 1 year (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
