General Statement of Duties:
Mount Wachusett Community College seeks a dynamic educator and design professional with comprehensive expertise in graphic design and a specialization in contemporary web and interactive design. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong proficiency across graphic design disciplines and expertise in current web design standards, user-centered design, accessibility, and emerging digital technologies.
PRIMARY TEACHING AREAS
The faculty member will teach courses in web design and development, including planning, wireframing, responsive design, and front-end coding; UI/UX design; social media design and digital campaign strategy; and motion graphics and interactive media. Additional teaching responsibilities include Design Theory, Digital Imaging, Typography, Digital Illustration, Publication Design, and Portfolio Preparation and Production.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERTISE
The ideal candidate will bring extensive professional experience in both graphic and web design, with proficiency in HTML, CSS, and responsive design principles alongside hands-on experience with UI/UX design and prototyping tools. They will demonstrate a strong command of accessibility standards and inclusive design practices, as well as expertise in Adobe Creative Cloud and current web design platforms. Experience integrating motion graphics and interactive media into digital environments is expected, along with a broad understanding of branding systems across print, digital, and social media. Familiarity with emerging technologies and AI tools as they relate to contemporary design workflows is also desired.
Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Provides classroom instruction in GID and web/interactive design;</li><li>
Serves on college committees as elected or appointed;</li><li>
Attends regularly scheduled departmental, divisional, and college meetings;</li><li>
Teaches courses as assigned by the Dean;</li><li>
Participates in academic advisement for approximately 18 students;</li><li>
Maintains office hours;</li><li>
Participates in college service activities (i.e., college committees, meetings, activities, etc.);</li><li>
Maintains disciplinary expertise;</li><li>
Performs other duties as assigned.</li></ul> 

Job Requirements: 
Minimum Qualifications:
<ul><li>BA, MA, MFA, or Ph.D. degree in Graphic Design or a closely related field;</li><li>
Extensive professional experience in graphic design;</li><li>
A professional portfolio demonstrating web and interactive design work;
</li><li>Knowledge of education methods;
</li><li>Proficient in oral and written communication.</li></ul>
Desired Qualifications:
<ul><li>Two years of teaching experience at the college level.</li></ul>

Salary: $57,289.00 - $93,048.00

General Statement of Duties:
 Under general direction of the Associate Director of Admissions, the Grade 3 Recruitment Counselor performs recruitment of prospective students throughout MWCC's service delivery area. Employees in this classification perform recruitment, marketing, and advisory work. Classification is responsible for recruiting prospective students, assisting prospective students with degree/career discernment, assisting students with the admissions process, and connecting prospective students with student financial resources during the onboarding process. Performs related work as directed.
The Recruitment Counselor will serve as an integral member of the Admissions Team in recruitment of learners throughout North Central MA and Southern New Hampshire, working to promote outreach to community business organizations and local and regional high schools. The Recruitment Counselor will hold on-campus information sessions for prospective students on MWCC campus and via Zoom. In this position, the Grade 3 Recruitment Counselor will have an integral role in the daily operation of recruitment activities on- and off-campus. The Recruitment Counselor will work out of the Admissions CRM database to maintain accurate recruitment and outreach records. Position will require travel and occasional evening and Saturday work hours.
Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Maintain an admission travel territory to recruit prospective students at high schools, community business organizations to promote academic programs to prospective students and guide students through enrollment process;</li><li>
Assist with on campus recruitment events specifically designed for high school students and adult learners;</li><li>
Support recruitment programming at Community Business Organizations, with an emphasis on MASS Educate and MASS Reconnect.</li><li>
Conduct territory case management outreach via phone and email, and in-person and Zoom appointments for prospective students and families;</li><li>
Enhance promotion of recruitment and student financial services events throughout assigned territory;</li><li>
Assist with student outreach to via the CRM throughout the admissions funnel</li><li>
Explain career and transfer grids to prospective students as part of their introduction to MWCC;</li><li>
Help with transitions to college by connecting prospective students and applicants with Student Financial Services, advising on financial aid requirements, multiple measures, and the admissions process;</li><li>
Other outreach as determined by the Admissions team;</li><li>
Work collaboratively with Senior Admissions Counselors/Coordinators to develop strategies for attracting prospective students;</li><li>
Work collaboratively with Admissions, Advising, Career and Transfer teams to address prospective student career exploration and academic needs;</li><li>
Maintain required documentation.</li></ul> 

Job Requirements: 
Minimum Qualifications:
<ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Counseling, Education, Psychology, Organizational Behavior, Sociology, Liberal Arts, or closely related field</li><li>
Two (2) years experience and/or training involving public education, college admissions, academic advisement, or customer service; or</li><li>
An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.</li></ul>
