Maintain accurate, strengths-based documentation submitted within 24 hours of services</li><li>
Guide clients in identifying and practicing healthy coping strategies and problem-solving approaches</li><li>
Model appropriate emotional regulation, boundaries, and interpersonal communication in all settings</li><li>
Collaborate with clinical staff, peer support, and case management teams to support continuity of care</li><li>
Promptly report safety concerns, behavioral incidents, or emerging client needs to the appropriate team lead</li><li>
Attend biweekly QBHA or clinical supervision and participate in professional development sessions as required</li><li>
Maintain a safe, inclusive, and skill-building group environment</li><li>
Provide coverage or shift adjustments as needed within assigned client groups or housing units</li></ul><div>
Required Qualifications:</div>
<ul><li><b>
Current certification as a Qualified Behavioral Health Assistant (QBHA)</b> through a Colorado BHA-approved training program <b>(STRONG REQUIREMENT</b>)</li><li>
High school diploma or GED</li><li>
Reliable transportation to travel between residential and outpatient locations</li><li>
Basic computer and documentation skills (training available if needed)</li><li>
Strong interpersonal communication, group facilitation, and emotional intelligence</li><li>
Ability to uphold confidentiality and practice professional boundaries</li><li>
Flexibility to adapt to evolving group dynamics and client needs</li></ul>

Preferred Qualifications:</div>

Experience in behavioral health, recovery housing, or outpatient treatment settings</li><li>
Familiarity with Medicaid documentation standards and strengths-based note writing</li><li>
Training in trauma-informed care, motivational interviewing, or harm reduction</li><li>
Previous facilitation of psychoeducational, behavioral health, or skills groups</li></ul><p>
The Qualified Behavioral Health Assistant (QBHA) at Mountain West Recovery provides behaviorally-informed support to individuals in recovery from substance use and co-occurring mental health challenges. This role centers on facilitating psychoeducational life skills groups, modeling healthy behavioral strategies, and reinforcing recovery-aligned behaviors. Using evidence-based tools and trauma-informed practices, the QBHA empowers clients to build practical life skills, strengthen emotional awareness, and sustain their progress in recovery.
