This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your skills in a fast-paced, supportive environment dedicated to health and smile transformation.Duties<ul><li>Assist dentists chairside during a variety of dental procedures.</li><li>Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments, supplies, and sterilization equipment following aseptic techniques and infection control protocols</li><li>Take dental X-rays using digital imaging technology such as 3D scanners and other medical imaging tools</li><li>Manage patient records accurately within practice management software (PMS) system Open Dental while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy</li><li>Monitor vital signs and medical documentation for patients with special needs or medical conditions</li><li>Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, greeting patients as a dental receptionist, and maintaining organized medical records and documentation</li><li>Apply knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and dental coding to ensure precise communication and recordkeeping across all clinical activities</li></ul>Skills<ul><li>Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting, four-handed dentistry, and infection control practices</li><li>Experience with PMS system Open Dental for efficient documentation and record management</li><li>Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to safeguard patient confidentiality at all times</li><li>Ability to operate dental equipment including X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and other medical imaging devices</li><li>Familiarity with general dentistry procedures</li><li>Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members including dental receptionists and assistants while providing compassionate patient care</li></ul>This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to advance their career in dental assisting while making a positive impact on patients&rsquo; oral health.
