Position Overview:
MP Materials is seeking a hands-on senior process engineer to be an integral part of the team building and operating a new metal, alloy, and magnet-making facility in Fort Worth, Texas. The senior process engineer specializes in the surface finishing of components such as pre-treatment (i.e. cleaning, pickling) and coating (i.e. passivation, plating, epoxy coating etc.), wire slicing, grinding and chamfering. The role requires a combination of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and collaborative abilities to drive the development and optimization of cleaning/coating process as well as wire slicing/grinding and chamfering operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in surface finishing/coating/plating/painting operations as we as some exposure to machining processes. The process engineer must be comfortable with failure analysis, continuous improvements, equipment fault diagnosis, and process development.
Position Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Develop, optimize, and maintain coating process for Neodymium magnets.</li><li>
Implement process monitoring and control systems to maintain optimal coating conditions, maximize conformity, yield and throughput.</li><li>
Work with grinding/slicing engineers to hit throughput and process optimization goals.</li><li>
Collaborate with different teams and external vendors to operate, optimize and maintain coating and wastewater processing units.</li><li>
Troubleshoot equipment and process issues, root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to resolve production disruptions and improve process robustness.</li><li>
Lead technical support and training to production personnels on coating techniques, equipment operation, and safety procedures. 
 Lead process improvements, failure analysis, defect reduction, root cause analysis, and fault diagnostics.</li><li>
Define coating parameters, machine and bath specifications, and quality standards to ensure consistent production performance and adherence to customer requirements.</li><li>
Mentor and coach entry level engineers and technicians.</li><li>
Manage process improvement projects from concept to implementation, including scope, costing, justification, and verification.</li><li>
Other duties as assigned.</li></ul>
Basic Qualifications:<ul><li>
Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, chemistry, materials science and relevant field.</li><li>
5-10 years of experience in process engineering roles focused on surface finishing, such as coating, plating, slicing and grinding.</li><li>
Experience of implementing statistical process control (SPC) for industrial manufacturing.</li><li>
Strong knowledge of surface finishing principles, chemistry and process engineering of coating/plating and industrial coating technologies.</li><li>
Experience of handling acidic, and alkaline baths and wastewater units for industrial coating/plating/paint technologies.</li><li>
Proficient with statistical analysis tools and methodologies for process optimization (e.g., Six Sigma, Design of Experiments, Root). Six sigma green belt would be preferred.</li><li>
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop practical solutions.</li><li>
Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams.</li><li>

Position Overview:
MP Materials is seeking a hands-on Senior Design Engineer to be an integral part of the team designing and building a new metal, alloy, and magnet-making facility. This is a rare opportunity to have a central role in the development of a greenfield advanced manufacturing facility, and helping to define the future of American manufacturing. This position will require a combination of both strong technical skills to design the machines needed for material movement and plant layout, and a hands-on nature to ensure that the successful sourcing, construction, and commissioning of the designs.
The new facility contains a broad range of chemical, mechanical, and thermal processes, including electrowinning, strip casting, powder production, pressing &amp; sintering, machining, and assembly. Because of the broad range of processes in use, it is important that the Senior Design Engineer have a diverse technical background with the ability to engage with a broad range of technical specialists and gain a working understanding of the physical processes, key control metrics, and potential hazards involved. The successful candidate will be passionate about pairing design work with much of the actual &ldquo;dirty hands&rdquo; work to ensure that everything works as intended initially and over time.
Position Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Contributes to the Physical Design Engineering team as a senior member.</li><li>
Works closely with broader process engineering, controls engineering, and manufacturing teams to create automated processes with an integrated process flow.</li><li>
Delivers finished designs, detailed drawings, and engineering specifications for supplier bidding, and leads vendor compliance efforts after purchase.</li><li>
Supports and leads the design, manufacturing, installation, and commissioning activities to deliver projects from concept to fully operational in the plant.</li><li>
Leads and mentors engineers and specialists.</li><li>
Conducts and participates in technical design reviews, supplier evaluations and internal and external compliance audits to relevant industrial standards (ASTM, ISO etc).</li><li>
Performs CAD, FEA, and durability simulations as required of concept designs to provide recommendations for physical prototype candidates, execute testing, and ensure successful commissioning and ongoing operation.</li><li>
Reviews team designs and apply PE stamp as required.</li><li>
Researches and implements automation systems, detailed designs; and directs component sourcing, fabrication, and deployment of manufacturing equipment.</li><li>
Works closely with EHS to ensure that all work is done to ensure world class health and safety, and full compliance with relevant environmental regulations.</li><li>
Documents all work for seamless handoff to end users, prepares technical reports, and follows all corporate change management procedures.</li><li>
Leads and supports continuous improvement activities to produce ongoing, meaningful improvements to worker safety, process uptime, and product quality.</li><li>

Basic Qualifications:<ul><li>
BS or MS in mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, or related field.</li><li>
At least 7 years process design and automation experience within a manufacturing environment.</li><li>
Knowledge in automation of industrial processes and materials handling.</li><li>
Experience in machine design and testing.</li><li>
Knowledge of statistical process control, and experience in designing control systems.</li><li>
Excellent spatial visualization and reasoning skills, with a history of conceiving of successful creative designs for bespoke problems.</li><li>

The Reliability Manager is a strategic leadership role responsible for directing and overseeing all reliability initiatives across the organization. This manager is tasked with improving the reliability and performance of equipment, processes, and systems to minimize downtime and optimize operational costs.
Position Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Develop and implement a comprehensive, company-wide reliability strategy and asset management plan.</li><li>
Align reliability initiatives with corporate key performance indicators (KPIs) and business goals.</li><li>
Supervise and mentor a team of reliability engineers and other technical staff.</li><li>
Provide leadership, direction, coaching, and performance management to maximize team effectiveness and foster a culture of excellence.</li><li>
Oversee and direct reliability programs, including preventive maintenance (PM) optimization, predictive maintenance (PdM) technologies (such as vibration analysis and thermography), and a robust root cause analysis (RCA) process.</li><li>

Basic Qualifications:<ul><li>

7&ndash;10 years of experience in an industrial reliability or maintenance role, including at least 3&ndash;5 years in a leadership or management position.</li><li>
Professional certification as Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE) or Certified Maintenance &amp; Reliability Professional (CMRP) are highly desirable.</li><li>
Expert knowledge of reliability methodologies and tools, including Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Statistical Process Control (SPC), and predictive maintenance technologies.</li><li>
Proficiency with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), data analytics software, and reliability modeling techniques is also required.</li><li>

Position Overview:
The Process Engineer, Powder will be an integral part of the team designing and building a new metal, alloy, and magnet-making facility. This is a rare opportunity to have a central role in the development of a greenfield advanced manufacturing facility and helping to define the future of American manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have hands- on experience in controlling metal powder production processes such as powder conveyance, hydrogen decrepitation, jet milling, classification, blending, quality control and other related powder processing techniques. The Process Engineer must be comfortable with equipment fault diagnosis, process development, PLCs, and P&amp;ID.
The new facility will contain a broad range of chemical, mechanical, and thermal processes, including electrowinning, strip casting, powder production, pressing &amp; sintering, machining, and assembly. Because of the broad range of processes in use, it is important that the Process Engineer be able to engage with a broad range of technical specialists and gain a working understanding of the physical processes, key control metrics, and potential hazards involved. The key aspect of this role is to provide technical coordination and support to the powder processing operation to meet customer requirements.
Position Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Member of the Production Engineering team.</li><li>
Work with production team members of upstream and downstream processes to execute the products for customers.</li><li>
Work with procurement, vendors, maintenance, operators, and other team members on equipment specification, design reviews, and commissioning of new plant.</li><li>
Contribute to EHS risk assessments, HAZOP studies, and regulatory compliance.</li><li>
Plan, execute, and assist with process, and procedure development for hydrogen decrepitation (HD) furnace, Jet milling, dry grinding and powder blending.</li><li>
Work closely with the NPI team in new process development and deployment in industrial scale.</li><li>
Provide technical training and support to the production team and technicians on process knowledge.</li><li>
Evaluate customer requirements and work in partnership with broader manufacturing and engineering teams to define process control plans to meet customer specifications.</li><li>
Monitors and directs changes to key operating parameters under area of responsibility driving to achieve high yield, consistent product quality, and minimal EHS impacts.</li><li>
Supervise the daily use of quality control procedures, driving initiatives to ensure stable and efficient powder processing operations.</li><li>
Investigate and resolve equipment and quality issues within HD furnace, Jet Milling and subprocesses, working with QA, production, and customer service to address any product quality or customer complaints.</li><li>
Document and disclose intellectual property and assist in patent filing preparation and defense.</li><li>

Basic Qualifications:<ul><li>
BS degree in Metallurgy/Materials Science, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or related field.</li><li>
3-5 years&rsquo; experience in metal powder processing with industrial scale processes and equipment.</li><li>
Deep understanding of powder metallurgy processes for part manufacturing and powder quality control fundamentals such as particle size distribution (PSD), particle flowability, particle agglomeration, and more.</li><li>
Knowledge and experience in gathering and tracking process control information for SPC.</li><li>
Problem solving experience (FMEA, 8D, A3, Root Cause Analysis etc.).</li><li>
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.</li><li>
Experienced user of Microsoft Office suite.</li></ul>
Desired Qualifications:<ul><li>
5+ years of experience of industrial experience powder manufacturing, processing, and/or conducting powder metallurgy processes.</li><li>
Deep technical knowledge of metal powder pulverization and hydrogen furnace operation.</li><li>
Practical experience of the process safety associated with metal powder processing.</li><li>
Experience with SAP.</li><li>
Ability to identify and solve problems and convince others (management down to operators) that your solution is the right one.</li><li>
Experience with programming, and process control operations; P&amp;ID, PLC, CFD, MATLAB, Python, Mini -Tab, AutoCAD/Solidworks.</li></ul>
