Position Overview:
MP Materials is seeking a Metallurgy Technician to join our Process Technology and Engineering Department at Mountain Pass, CA. This role is ideal for someone with a background in mining, geology, mineral processing, or a deep interest in earth sciences who is eager to grow in a fast-paced R&amp;D environment. The Metallurgy Technician will support mineral processing research and development projects, including flotation reagent testing, process chemistry trials, and lab-to-plant scale evaluations. The results of this work will directly contribute to advancing mineral processing technology with real-world impact. While normally a day shift position, flexibility to work other shifts or overtime at short notice may be required.
 Position Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Collect and prepare samples from the mill and flotation circuits.</li><li>
Perform laboratory testing, including froth flotation and related mineral processing experiments.</li><li>
Operate laboratory and pilot-scale equipment such as crushers, grinders, filters, sieves, shakers, and flotation cells.</li><li>
Accurately record observations, test conditions, and results; assist with preliminary data analysis.</li><li>
Maintain and organize lab supplies, equipment, and test areas.</li><li>
Support process development initiatives, including evaluation of new flotation reagents, technologies, and process improvements.</li><li>
Communicate test results and observations clearly to engineers and other team members.</li><li>
Follow all safety protocols and actively identify potential hazards.</li><li>
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Process Development, Mill Operations, Mining, Maintenance, and Analytical Services.</li><li>
Perform additional tasks as directed by management.</li></ul>
Basic Qualifications:<ul><li>
Strong interest in mining, geology, mineral processing, or related earth sciences.</li><li>
1+ year experience in a lab, mining, mineral processing, chemical, petroleum, or heavy industrial setting (preferred).</li><li>
Ability to follow technical instructions and keep accurate, legible records.</li><li>
Safety-oriented mindset and willingness to accept personal responsibility for safe work practices.</li><li>
Minimum High School Diploma/GED required.</li><li>
Valid Driver&rsquo;s License and clean driving record (required to operate company vehicles on site).</li></ul>
Desired Qualities:<ul><li>
Prior experience in mineral processing, especially froth flotation (big plus).</li><li>
Experience in laboratory sample preparation, wet chemistry, or mineral processing tests.</li><li>
College-level coursework in chemistry, geology, mining, or materials engineering.</li><li>
Associate or bachelor&rsquo;s degree in a related discipline preferred.</li><li>
Mechanical aptitude and ability to work with lab/pilot-scale equipment.</li><li>
Familiarity with analytical tools (e.g., XRF) and sample preparation techniques.</li></ul>

Working Conditions - Our facility sits at an elevation of 4,700 feet. Employees may be subject to extreme weather conditions when working in an outdoor setting (heat and cold, wind). Work is at an open pit mine or manufacturing/chemical plant setting, which may include exposure to moving mechanical parts, toxic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, explosives, fumes, or airborne particles.
Physical Demands - Manual dexterity; sense of touch; sense of smell; speaking clearly; hearing-speech range; hearing &ndash; all ranges; seeing, reading and comprehensions; seeing &ndash; distant/near; depth perception; color vision. While performing the job responsibilities, the employee is required to talk and hear. The employee is often required to stand and use their hands and fingers, to handle or feel and to manipulate laboratory equipment. The employee is occasionally required to walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision. Employees must pass a full-face respiratory fit test. Employees must be able to lift 50 lbs. Must be able to work in PPE level C. Position Overview:
The Project Planner Scheduling Lead will be a member of our new Magnetics business headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas. This is a rare opportunity to help develop and maintain program and project schedules for greenfield advanced manufacturing facilities that are shaping the future of American manufacturing. The ideal candidate is a hands-on contributor with experience managing schedules for capital projects. This role is responsible for creating, updating, analyzing, and reporting on schedule performance across a portfolio of engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities. The Project Scheduler will maintain the systems, tools, and processes required to monitor schedule progress, identify risks, and support proactive decision-making for project teams.
Position Responsibilities:<div><ul><li>
Develop, update, and maintain project and portfolio schedules for capital projects, including forecasting, tracking, and weekly status reporting.</li><li>
Work closely with project managers to establish baselines, align schedules with annual plans, and provide weekly forecast updates.</li><li>
Build and maintain schedule reporting templates that enable effective communication across project teams.</li><li>
Prepare detailed and summary schedules using Microsoft Project / Primavera P6 / Smartsheet / other scheduling platforms.</li><li>
Identify schedule risks related to engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities and assist project teams in mitigation planning.</li><li>
Support schedule compliance for partner and customer contractual requirements.</li><li>
Collaborate with capital projects, engineering, and procurement teams on project setup and master data maintenance.</li><li>
Track equipment installation and commissioning progress and provide schedule inputs needed for cost control and in-service date alignment.</li><li>
Participate in project closeout reviews to capture lessons learned and future improvements.</li><li>
Support development of capital project scheduling processes and procedures.</li><li>
Assist in the creation of portfolio-level dashboards.</li><li>
Occasional travel to subcontractor or vendor locations.</li><li>

Basic Qualifications:<div><ul><li>
Experience in scheduling for medium to large capex projects involving multiple internal and external stakeholders.</li><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related technical field.</li><li>
7 -10+ years of progressive schedule management experience.</li><li>
5 - 7 years of industrial project experience.</li><li>
Proficiency in building and maintaining integrated schedules across complex workstreams.</li></ul></div>

Position Overview:
The Senior Project Engineer will be a member of our new Magnetics business headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas. This is a rare opportunity to have an early role in developing and maintaining various capital project deliverables for greenfield advanced manufacturing facilities that are shaping the future of American manufacturing. The ideal candidate will participate and support the project through conception stage, have accountability for contributing to all strategic and tactical management of project delivery after release for execution, and assist with coordination and oversight of external contractors from scope development to start-up and commissioning. The role requires signiﬁcant interaction with selected Design Firms; OEMs; Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC) contractors; Equipment and Service Contractors; as well as extensive internal collaboration. This role will have overall accountability for delivering projects safely, with high quality standards, on time, and within budget.
Position Responsibilities:<div><ul><li>
Manages and supports Capital Project Engineering eﬀorts for infrastructure and equipment.</li><li>
Engage with Procurement and Engineering teams for appropriate project resourcing.</li><li>
Collaborates with Capital Projects Team, Research and Development, and Manufacturing Engineering teams, and provides leadership in development of best practice project and capital management.</li><li>
Directs integration of engineering and technical activities in support of project development and execution.</li><li>
Supports other programs and management systems, including reliability centered maintenance, safety,</li><li>
mechanical integrity, preventive and predictive maintenance, and continuous improvement.</li><li>
Supports construction activities by inspecting and validating engineering trade design requirements are performed per the scope of work.</li><li>
Supports developing, promoting, and carrying out of policies to ensure that the facility is in compliance with regulatory requirements.</li><li>
Incorporates safety, health, and environmental best practices and regulatory compliance into all engineering and project management activities, and ensures adherence to engineering principles, practices, and standards.</li><li>

Basic Qualifications:<div><ul><li>
B.S. or higher in Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering.</li><li>
Ability to understand, interpret, and communicate information from engineering drawings and documentation.</li><li>
Ability to deal eﬀectively and conﬁdently with ambiguity, assess situations rapidly, and take quick and appropriate action.</li><li>
7-10 years experience in a project leadership role within industrial and high-tech manufacturing environments, including subject matter leadership for some combination of Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation &amp; Controls, Materials, and/or Chemical disciplines.</li><li>
Industry knowledge in high tech manufacturing facilities preferred.</li><li>
Medium to large sized capital project experience preferred.</li><li>
Familiarity or experience with commissioning and start-up of equipment and facilities.</li><li>
