Using Mastercam software, the Machinist plans setup, and programming operations of the CNC mill and CNC lathe, to<br>
fabricate parts or tooling as required to meet manufacturing production schedules or prototype requirements.<br>
Set-up and operate CNC Mills and Lathe.</div><div><br>

Qualifications:
<ul><li>Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, sketches, and diagrams.</li><li>
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.</li><li>
Uses hand tools of the trade safely and properly.</li><li>
Advanced ability and skill level to operate CNC mill, lathe, grinder, and other machines.</li><li>
Advanced knowledge, ability, and experience <b>programming</b> CNC machines with Mastercam software.</li><li>
Good organizational skills with the ability to listen and communicate effectively.</li><li>
Advanced computer skills with experience using Mastercam software.</li><li>
Ten (10) years of experience in a job with similar duties.</li></ul>
Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Follow all Personal Protection Program guidelines.</li><li>
Compliance with all OSHA and MPI Safety Procedures.</li><li>
Read blueprints, drawings, or sketches to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece, sequence of operations and tooling requirements.</li><li>
Set (Mastercam software) machine for types of material, tolerances, cutting tools, coolants, lubricants, tool feeds and speed.</li><li><b>
Program</b> and operate the CNC mill and CNC lathe, using Mastercam software to produce desired tooling or fabrication of material, without system crashes or damage to machine tooling components.</li><li>
Determine specifications for inspection of work using precision measuring and gauging tools, performing inspection before, during, and after machining.</li><li>
Performs welding of steel fabrications.</li><li>
Inspect incoming material and parts for quality conformance.</li><li>
Work with other departments as needed to resolve any engineering or manufacturing related problems.</li><li>
Operate forklift for material transport, upon completion of MPI training.</li><li>
Operate chain hoists and lift tables, upon completion of MPI training.</li><li>
Perform equipment maintenance as required, assuring all machines run and operate properly.</li><li>
Supports MPI lean culture and initiatives by attending and participating in daily lean meetings while supporting efforts to make continuous improvements throughout MPI.</li><li>
Other duties as assigned by management.</li></ul>
