ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
<ul><li>Responsible for the day-to-day tactical purchasing activities to support the entire manufacturing facility.</li><li>
Responsible for maintaining and issuing purchase orders to suppliers.</li><li>
Responsible for receiving and updating order acknowledgments</li><li>
Responsible for monitoring supplier and subcontractor delivery to meet the facilities needs and escalate supplier issues when appropriate.</li><li>
Responsible for expeditions with suppliers when appropriate</li><li>
Responsible for managing raw material inventory levels to support production, while minimizing total inventory dollars on hand.</li><li>
Leads weekly raw material inventory reviews with the site leadership and corporate</li><li>
Responsible for providing forecasts to suppliers when appropriate</li><li>
Responsible for maintaining the facilities approved supplier list and vendor master that aligns with corporate approved suppliers.</li><li>
Assist with supplier RFQ&rsquo;s</li><li>
Responsible for the credit app/tax form process of onboarding new suppliers.</li><li>
Assist in reconciling invoicing issues.</li><li>
Responsible for maintaining supplier pricing files in the ERP system.</li><li>
Supports corporate mandated supplier changes</li><li>
Other purchasing related tasks as assigned</li></ul>
EDUCATION<ul><li>
High school diploma required</li><li>
2-year degree preferred</li></ul>
EXPERIENCE:
<ul><li>Minimum 2-3 years of experience in purchasing in a manufacturing environment</li></ul>

</li><li>Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills</li><li>

</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively develop and write routine reports, process instructions and business correspondence. Also, must be able to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of employees and managers, customers, and suppliers. 
</li><li>Highly productive with a strong sense of urgency and orientation to details, accuracy, and excellent outcomes. Results-oriented with a demonstrated ability to effectively manage time and multiple priorities 
</li><li>Demonstrated continuous improvement mindset and an advocate for change. Exposure to lean manufacturing principles is a plus. 
</li><li>Demonstrated flexibility and willingness to adapt to internal processes and change, delays or unexpected events. Ability to respond to adversity or restrictions of the organization with resilience and tenacity. 
</li><li>Strong work ethic, including the ability to be self-directed and self-motivated. Demonstrated professionalism, passion, and initiative with projects and tasks. 
</li><li>Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle proprietary and sensitive information with integrity. 
</li><li>Intermediate to advanced level proficiency MS Office software applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint).</li></ul>
