Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Store Manager to support our retail operations and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will assist in managing daily store activities, leading a team, and driving sales while maintaining a positive shopping environment. This role requires strong leadership skills, effective communication, and a passion for retail management.Duties<ul><li>Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily operations and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.</li><li>Lead, train, and develop team members to enhance performance and promote a customer-focused culture.</li><li>Manage inventory control processes including ordering, stocking, and merchandising to optimize product availability.</li><li>Conduct employee orientation, training sessions, and performance evaluations to foster team growth.</li><li>Handle payroll, scheduling, and shift management to ensure adequate staffing levels.</li><li>Engage in recruiting efforts to attract top talent for the store team.</li><li>Utilize POS systems for transactions and cash handling while maintaining accurate financial records.</li><li>Implement effective marketing strategies to drive sales and increase store visibility.</li><li>Monitor retail math metrics such as pricing, sales performance, and budgeting to achieve financial goals.</li><li>Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and enhancing the shopping experience.</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Proven experience in retail management or as an Assistant Manager with strong supervisory skills.</li><li>Excellent negotiation and communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus.</li><li>Proficiency in inventory management, bookkeeping, and administrative tasks related to store operations.</li><li>Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Experience with merchandising techniques and marketing strategies relevant to retail sales.</li><li>Familiarity with cash handling procedures and POS systems is essential.</li><li>Knowledge of grocery store operations is preferred but not mandatory.</li><li>A commitment to training &amp; development initiatives for staff growth is essential.
