 JOB SUMMARY:
 
 
 
 Assist in the daily living activities, monitoring, and supervision of the residents. Perform housekeeping, life enrichment, and dining tasks as required. This position is responsible for representing New Day well and promoting its culture.
 
 
 
 QUALIFICATIONS:
 
 
 
 Must complete probationary period successfully. Must be able to be flexible and work along if necessary. Desired: High School Diploma or equivalent; CBRF Training completed. Must actively demonstrate New Day&rsquo;s culture and exhibit extraordinary care toward New Day&rsquo;s residents.
 
 
 
 DUTIES:
 
 
 
 The Caregiver will be responsible for the below job duties including but not limited to:
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Represent New Day with professionalism, always embracing New Day&rsquo;s culture, which includes &ldquo;treating others as you would like to be treated.&rdquo;
 </li>
 <li>
 Assist residents in activities of daily living (i.e., toileting, bathing, eating, etc. per individualized service plan
 </li>
 <li>
 Assist in maintenance of physical Community daily (i.e., cleaning, straightening, laundry, dishes etc.)
 </li>
 <li>
 Must be able to assist semi-ambulatory residents with transfers and personal care, which may, at times, require lifting and gait-belt use
 </li>
 <li>
 Cook meals and provide snacks for the residents, following the menu plan
 </li>
 <li>
 Communicate facility needs list to the Executive Director/House Manager
 </li>
 <li>
 Put groceries away, ensuring all items are properly dated and stored
 </li>
 <li>
 Monitor and chart administration of residents&rsquo; medications as applicable
 </li>
 <li>
 Document accidents and incidents using incident reporting form. in electronic record and report all incidents or observed concerns (conflict, potential misconduct etc.) to Executive Director /Designee
 </li>
 <li>
 Document resident daily observations (i.e., daily activities, behaviors, changes, etc.)
 </li>
 <li>
 Facilitate daily activities, in accordance with life enrichment schedule
 </li>
 <li>
 Provide comfort and companionship to the residents, treating all residents with dignity, warmth and respect. with reference to Resident&rsquo;s Rights
 </li>
 <li>
 Communicate concerns to the Executive Director/designee immediately
 </li>
 <li>
 Call 911 if the resident is in distress
 </li>
 <li>
 Follow emergency procedures if an emergency occurs
 </li>
 <li>
 Work scheduled shifts as assigned; if unable, contact supervisor immediately
 </li>
 <li>
 Be available to attend mandatory monthly staff meetings and training as requested by the Executive Director/House Manager and to achieve regulatory required education compliance
 </li>
 <li>
 Be available for occasional hours at another New Day community location
 </li>
 <li>
 Responsible for reading any new or updated ISP&rsquo;s on an as-needed basis
 </li>
 <li>
 Responsible for clearing all walkways of snow, ice, or any other debris
 </li>
 <li>
 Provide 24-hour awake care for residents
 </li>
 <li>
 Follow all guidelines according to DHS 83
 </li>
 <li>
 All other duties as assigned by the Executive Director/House Manager
 
 
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
 
 :
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Stand, sit and walk for long periods of time
 </li>
 <li>
 Full ranges of motion to climb, balance, kneel, crouch or crawl
 </li>
 <li>
 Full function of hands and arms
 </li>
 <li>
 Occasionally lift/or move up to 25 pounds with occasional lifting of residents at higher weight
 </li>
 <li>
 Able to transport residents in wheelchairs
 
 
 </li>
 </ul>
