Job SummaryMRG Construction Management Inc., a Commercial General Contracting/Construction Management Company located in Peabody, MA is looking to hire a Construction Superintendent. Candidates must be able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, and client service focused environment.Responsibilities Include:<ul><li>Supervise subcontractors and the overall construction of projects according to strict deadlines and budget requirements</li><li>Communicate with subcontractors regularly and coordinate scheduling of daily activities to ensure project is completed on time</li><li>Make project construction and scheduling decisions with the objective of increasing project profitability and project deadline</li><li>Determine plan of action when unforeseen conditions and/or problems arise on construction sites</li><li>Follow all plans &amp; specs, and review them with subcontractors prior to project start-up</li><li>Adhere to project schedules set forth by the Project Manager and ensure milestones are met</li><li>Communicate with the Project Manager regularly to provide updates on project progress, delays and future concerns</li><li>Develop a strong understanding of customer needs and perform duties in accordance to customer needs and MRG expectations</li><li>Demonstrate open dialogue with customers, subcontractors and Project Managers when making adjustments with project schedule and budget</li><li>Complete all MRG reporting and photo requirements and ensure they are submitted in a timely fashion for distribution to customers/clients</li><li>Perform weekly Tool Box Talks meetings with all parties on jobsite</li><li>Actively ensure all subcontractors follow proper safety procedures</li><li>Interact with building departments for permits, inspections and certificate of occupancy</li><li>Responsible for the removal and replacement of various items such as dumpsters, storage containers and portable toilets</li><li>Coordinate delivery schedules for project materials, tools and equipment</li><li>Ensure all required materials are present on each construction site including MRG banner, labor posters, first aid kit, fire extinguisher, surface computer, table &amp; chairs, safety manual, building permit and project plans</li></ul>Desired Skills and Experience:<ul><li>Must be OSHA 30 certified</li><li>Current MA Construction Supervisors License</li><li>Proficiency in MS Office Suite</li><li>Demonstrate high level of professionalism with strong verbal/written and interpersonal skills</li><li>Strong problem solving, managerial and communication skills</li><li>Knowledge of current building and construction codes</li><li>Demonstrated knowledge of safe construction practices (OSHA)</li><li>Willingness to travel to throughout the New England area</li></ul>For more information about MRG Construction Management please visit our website www.mrgcm.comJob Type: Full-timePay: $75,000.00 - $110,000.00 per yearBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>Construction Supervisory: 1 year (Required)</li></ul>License/Certification:<ul><li>MA Construction Supervisor License (Required)</li></ul>Ability to Commute:<ul><li>Massachusetts (Required)</li></ul>Willingness to travel:<ul><li>50% (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: On the road
