Responsibilities:

Responsibilities:</div><ul><li>
Contributes to electrcial team for one or more New Product Development (NPD) projects</li><li>
Designs electrical circuit schematics for test boards, prototypes, and new product designs</li><li>
Independantly and creatively develops ideas and solutions to electrical and system design problems</li><li>
Validates, tests, and debugs circuit boards</li><li>
Develops printed circuit board (PCB) layout of complex multi-layer circuit board designs</li><li>
Completes PCB Gerber file generation, ordering, and design file coordination with fabrication house</li><li>
Completes surface mount component rework of printed circuit boards and component replacement as needed</li><li>
Runs and documents electrical and system tests</li></ul>

<b>Special Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:</b></div><ul><li>
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics</li><li>
Knowledge of digital/analog circuit design and communication protocols such as SPI, UART, I2C</li><li>
Solid interpersonal skills in design collaboration with the electrical engineering team</li><li>
Creative Problem Solving Skills</li><li>
Proficient use of Microsoft Office Tools</li><li>
Strong organizational skills</li><li>
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills</li></ul><div><b>
Special Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:</b></div><ul><li>
Knowledge of schematic capture and PCB design using Altium Designer or other similar software</li><li>
Knowledge of the PCB/PCBA manufacturing process</li><li>
Knowledge of electrical design implementation to meet EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility) standards</li></ul><div><b>
Education and Experience Required:</b></div><ul><li>
Must be pursuing an Associates or Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics or other relevant Engineering discipline, from an ABET-accredited program, and have completed at least one semester of Sophomore year before beginning this co-op rotation.</li></ul><p>
