BRIEF POSITION SUMMARY:
The Onsite Service Specialist is a critical MSC role. The specialist is located at a large strategic account(s) and supports the customer facility. This associate will be expected to offer excellent service to drive long-term customer satisfaction. Responsibilities will include assisting our customers with procurement and order placement and managing our MSC ControlPoint Solutions (Vending, VMI, Crib) to drive the MSC value with these customers.
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
<ul><li>Excellent Customer Service skills required to assist in customer order placement, quoting, sourcing, and identification, collection, and logging of all available Cost Savings Statistics.</li>
<li>Manages the MSC ControlPoint Solutions &ndash;which could include standard Vendor Managed Inventory, Vending, or Storeroom management programs and may require ordering, product put away and optimization.</li>
<li>Determines optimal sourcing strategy for key customer projects which may require collaborating with the Category Team in order to support MSC's mission to drive savings and improve the customer's shop floor.</li>
<li>Participation and engagement in customer plant and/or production meetings, strategic initiative projects, Lean/Six Sigma events.</li>
<li>Collaborates with the account team to maximize customer satisfaction and future projects</li>
<li>Resolves on-site customer product and service issues by providing sales-related solutions utilizing common and alternative sources of information. Consults with other associates and strategic suppliers to locate the most effective sources of information.</li>
<li>Provides customer service in accordance with MSC standards to ensure customer satisfaction, account retention, and revenue generation using all tools available.</li>
<li>Communicates customer concerns to management to ensure effective and lasting problem resolution.</li>
<li>Works closely with vendors to locate sources for product, produce quotes, expedite orders, and arrange product training.</li>
<li>Fosters the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure fulfillment of MSC's vision and unity of purpose.</li>
<li>Participation in special projects and performs additional duties as required.</li>

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
<ul><li>A High School Diploma or the equivalent experience is required.</li>
<li>College degree preferred.</li>
<li>2+ years inbound/ outbound telephone sales, outside sales, storeroom or inventory management, or customer service experience required.</li>
<li>Industry experience preferred.</li>
<li>Relevant Military experience a plus.</li>
<li>Metalworking knowledge and experience is a plus but not always required.</li>
</ul>SKILLS:
<ul><li>Computer literacy and proficiency with email, various internet browsers and/or the Windows operating system required.</li>
<li>Excellent problem-solving skills are required.</li>
<li>Excellent customer service and sales skills are required.</li>
<li>Excellent oral and written communications skills are also required.</li>
<li>Working Industrial knowledge preferred.</li>

<ul><li>A valid driver's license and the ability to travel up to 10% of the time may be required.</li>

</ul>Compensation starting at $ 22.26 - $ 32.48 depending on candidate location and experience.
The salary range represented is based on similar roles in comparable industries, and the cost of labor in respective cities. Actual compensation is based on the candidate's relevant experience, education requirements and peer pay equity. The Company reserves the right to modify the range as market conditions change.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
<ul><li>Provide high-level administrative, operational, and project management support to senior executive leadership.</li>
<li>Performs standard, advanced and confidential duties requiring broad experience, skill and knowledge of organization policies and practices.</li>
<li>In addition to traditional executive support responsibilities, this position plays an active role in project coordination, cross-functional initiative management, budget tracking, and process improvement</li>
<li>Resolves routine and complex inquiries as needed.</li>
<li>Handles a wide variety of administrative functions and executive support functions to ensure most effective operations of the executive's team(s).</li>
<li>Maintains executive's appointment schedule by planning and scheduling meetings, conferences, &amp; tele/video conferences. Obtains information and arranges for air/ground transportation, lodging, etc. for business trips. Utilizes Concur to process, reconcile, approve and manage T&amp;E expenses for Executives and their teams.</li>
<li>Prepares/composes/edits correspondence/memorandums/presentations/reports based on knowledge of MSC &amp; departmental policies and procedures.</li>
<li>Leads planning and execution of large-scale meetings and events (200-250 attendees) &ndash; including sourcing locations, arranging room blocks, transportation and other related logistics to ensure seamless, high-quality experiences</li>
<li>Distributes communications on behalf of the executive(s).</li>
<li>Welcomes guests, customers, suppliers, visiting executives and Board members by greeting them in person, by video, or direct inquiries.</li>
<li>Evaluates and recommends solutions to variety of administrative problems to enhance productivity and efficiency.</li>
<li>Ensures that requests for action or information are relayed to the appropriate staff member as directed by the Executive.</li>
<li>Answers email as requested, takes messages and/or directs inquiries to another party as appropriate. Researches/verifies information as necessary to respond to field inquiries.</li>
<li>Interprets requests and helps the Executive to implement action, decides whether the manager should be notified of important or emergency matters, as needed.</li>
<li>Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, MSC University courses, reviewing professional publications and establishing personal networks with other departments such as facilities, HR and IT.</li>
<li>Fosters the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure unity of purpose and fulfillment of MSC's mission.</li>
<li>Participates and/or helps facilitate special projects and events. Works collaboratively with the EA team to manage executive schedules and event success.</li>
<li>Manages Incentive Travel program, leads team through milestones and maintains project budget.</li>
<li>Assists with prize selection and sourcing for annual competitions.</li>
<li>Performs additional duties as required.</li>
</ul>EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
<ul><li>Proven work experience as a Senior Executive Assistant or similar role.</li>
<li>High School Diploma or the equivalent is required; Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred.</li>
<li>Minimum of five years administrative experience is required.</li>
</ul>SKILLS:
<ul><li>Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook and written business communication practices is required.</li>
<li>Experience exercising discretion and confidentiality with sensitive company information.</li>
<li>Ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff and management is required.</li>
<li>Familiarity with tele/video conferencing technology.</li>
<li>Excellent oral and written communications skills are also required.</li>
<li>Excellent organizational skills with ability to think proactively, multi-task and prioritize work.</li>

Compensation starting at $58000 - $91080 depending on candidate location and experience.
