About this Role:

Mercer Technical Services (MTS), a Quanta Services company, is seeking an experienced <b>Logistics Coordinator</b> to join our team.</div><div></div><div><br>
This role is ideal for someone with a background in trucking, transportation dispatch or freight forwarding who is looking to leverage their experience in a dynamic and growth-oriented environment.</div><div></div><div><br>
This position will be located in Spring, TX with minimal travel to sites.</div><br>

What You'll Do:
<ul><li>Coordinate logistics operations, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.</li><li>
Communicate effectively with truck drivers, carriers, and customers to ensure smooth execution of transportation plans.</li><li>
Negotiate rates with carriers and service providers to achieve optimal cost and efficiency.</li><li>
Generate and manage shipping documentation and coordinate all aspects of the shipping process.</li><li>
Track shipments from origin to destination, providing updates to stakeholders and resolving any issues that arise.</li><li>
Collaborate with team members to identify and implement process improvements.</li><li>
Provide exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving any operational issues promptly.</li></ul>
What You'll Bring:
<ul><li>A Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Construction Management/Science, Business Administration OR related field is a plus.</li><li>
Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED equivalent</li><li>
2+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, freight forwarding, or a related field, with specific experience as a dispatcher is preferred.</li><li>
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.</li><li>
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.</li><li>
Proficiency in using logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.</li><li>
Ability to negotiate effectively and build relationships with carriers and customers.</li><li>
A proactive problem-solver with a keen attention to detail.</li></ul><div>
