The ideal candidate will play a critical role in managing the procurement process, ensuring that materials and services are sourced efficiently and cost-effectively. This position requires strong negotiation skills, a solid understanding of supply chain management, and experience with various procurement systems.Duties<ul><li>Manage the procurement process from sourcing to contract management, ensuring compliance with company policies and Federal Acquisition Regulations.</li><li>Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities.</li><li>Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers to secure favorable terms while maintaining quality standards.</li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams including logistics, manufacturing, and quality management to align procurement strategies with organizational goals.</li><li>Utilize ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle EBS for procurement management, materials management, and production planning.</li><li>Implement category management strategies to optimize purchasing decisions across various product lines.</li><li>Perform root cause analysis on supply chain issues to identify areas for improvement.</li><li>Monitor supplier performance and manage relationships to ensure consistent quality and delivery of products.</li><li>Prepare reports on procurement activities, pricing trends, and supplier performance metrics.</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.</li><li>Proven experience in procurement or supply chain management with a strong understanding of purchasing processes.</li><li>Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle EBS is highly desirable.</li><li>Strong negotiation skills with experience in contract negotiation and management.</li><li>Knowledge of materials management, logistics, and manufacturing processes.</li><li>Familiarity with MRP principles and quality management practices.</li><li>Excellent analytical skills with the ability to conduct root cause analysis effectively.</li><li>Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate across departments.</li><li>Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
