Job DescriptionLead Faculty &ndash; EnglishAbout UsMuktangan is an innovative, inclusive, child- friendly educational project demonstrating how ordinary women andmen, empowered with the right beliefs and skills, can drive extraordinary outcomes for children from their ownaspiring communities. Over our 22 year-long journey, we have evolved into a Hub and Spokes model of IntegratedTeacher and School Education with our teacher education centre as the Hub and 7 Muktangan run-municipal schoolsin Mumbai as spokes where we offer free, high-quality and inclusive English medium education from preschool toGrade 10 over 4000 children from underserved communities and developed over 1000 community members (majorlywomen) as teachers. We have partnered with UNICEF, BMC (Municipal), Maharashtra State Government and manyNGOsto adapt the Muktangan model. Our Program is acknowledged by academic institutions and educationistslocallysuch as Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), and internationally such as University of Pennsylvania (UPenn) in theU.S.A and BathSpa, Oxford &amp; Cambridge Universities in the UK. Through our outreach initiatives and partnerships withthe local and state government, NGOs, academic institutions both local and international, we have reached out tomore than 75,000 children and more than 5,000 teachers and teacher educators across India. In-Service Teacher Education:Involves continuous capacity building of &ldquo;community teachers and subject faculty&rdquo; developed in the Muktanganconstructivist methodology. Our network of 7 municipal schools in Central Mumbai serves 4000+ students each year,delivering top percentile results in Board Examinations.In this role the educator is mainly expected to<ul><li>Designing and facilitating weekly pedagogy related discussion forums between practicing teachers</li><li>Conducting professional developmentsessions during vacations</li><li>Providing structured mentoring to assigned teacher trainees or teachers</li><li>Documenting the impacts for activities of the department</li></ul>B. Outreach and Advocacy:Involves reaching out to potential implementing partners and building their capacity to design classroombasedsystems that deliver a high quality engagement along with optimized learning outcomes for every student.In this role the educator would be required to<ul><li>Do detailed need assessments</li><li>Collaboratively design learning curriculums and relevant TLMs</li><li>Facilitate training modulesin physical or virtual formats</li><li>Conduct classroom observations</li><li>Provide documented feedback on the M&amp;E metrics</li></ul>C. Organizational :Involves continuously researching emerging trends in the sector and attempting to enhance the network withinstitutions that are aligned to the Muktangan vision to promote an engaged &amp; inclusive classroom experience.The educator will be responsible to<ul><li>Design avenues to advocate Muktangan&rsquo;s value proposition in a responsible way across different forums like</li></ul>seminars, paper presentations, social media etc.Educational Qualifications:<ul><li>Post Graduate M.Ed./MA Education with a minimum 1 year of classroom teaching experience at the</li></ul>primary/middle school levelRequired Competencies:<ul><li>Passionate about researching &amp; designing learning routines that can engage teachers &amp; children.</li><li>Outstanding communications and inter-personalskills with the ability to influence stakeholders.</li><li>Proven ability to develop content (including use of technology) that is relevant to the learner.</li><li>Working knowledge of Marathi/Hindi or both will be given preference</li><li>Proven ability to collaborate with internal and external teams as well as lead projects.</li><li>Must be flexible working with a professional, demanding work schedule and environment.</li></ul>Remuneration:Salary shall be at par with industry standards.Interested candidates may send their CV along with a covering letter to: contact@muktanganedu.orgJob Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: &#8377;40,000.00 - &#8377;50,000.00 per monthWork Location: In person
