What the SOC is about</b></p><p>
The Security Operations Center (SOC) enhances Munich Re&rsquo;s and ERGO&rsquo;s cybersecurity posture by providing a centralized monitoring, detecting, responding to, and managing security incidents and threats. It serves as the backbone of the cybersecurity strategy, aiming to proactively defend against threats and respond effectively to incidents to safeguard Munich Re&rsquo;s and ERGO&rsquo;s information and reputation</p><p><b>
Tasks of a Technical Analyst in the SOC</b></p><ul><li>
Processing security incidents that have already been pre-qualified in level 1 SOC analysis based on playbooks that are created and maintained in SIEM engineering</li><li>
Documenting the incident</li><li>
Transferring the incident to the appropriate party (e.g. CSIRT) and supporting them in the further analysis and processing of that security incident if the incident cannot be resolved in Level 2</li><li>
Documenting improvement potential per incident and implementation of lessons learned</li><li>
Creating and maintaining standards for internal procedures governing the day-to-day work of the team</li><li>
Contributing to regular feedback workshops with SIEM Engineering, Level-1, and CSIRT to optimize the procedures and the tools used, such as run books</li><li>
Defining configuration standards for hardening of systems</li><li>
Supporting SIEM Use Case Development - Collaboration in the creation, maintenance, and optimization of the rules and regulations and the instructions for the processing of incidents</li><li>
Carrying out operational activities ordered by the IT Security Manager</li><li>
Taking over the on-call duty</li></ul><p><b>
Expected qualifications</b></p><ul><li>
At least 2 years of working experience in a SOC or CSIRT/CERT</li><li>
Strong knowledge about (latest) security threats</li><li>
Broad experience in network infrastructure e.g. firewalls, IDS/IPS systems</li><li>
Knowledge of Internet technologies, Server, desktop, and mobile OS</li><li>
Ability to work according to compliance standards in a confidential environment</li><li>
Ability to explain complex technical matters in easy wording</li><li>

Key Responsibilities:</div><ul><li>
Expertise to deliver high quality prudent risk assessment decisions by Underwriting for medical, financial and special risks for high sum assured cases within the scope of assigned underwriting limits as per Munich Re underwriting Philosophy.</li><li>
As a member of the Life &amp; Health team based in Mumbai office of Munich Re India Branch, role will be to build and maintain client relationships as well as to provide risk management related services to MRIB clients, in accordance with the agreed terms.</li><li>
Recognize imperative risk factors and understand insurable risk and financial justification to make strong decisions; ensure appropriate documentation to support these high value cases.</li><li>
As a team member, contribute towards Quality assignment &ndash; Peer Review and adopts a partnering approach when carrying out underwriting audits along with Process review audits of clients.</li><li>
Demonstrate effective time management, conflict resolution and presentation of alternative solutions</li><li>
Participate in activities related to internal and external training programmes and provide training to clients regarding the underwriting approach(es) and all the implications thereof as per Munich Re Standards</li><li>
Required to work as a member of a high-performance team and to demonstrate and develop adequate technical and interpersonal skills, so candidate can strongly contribute to achieving MRIB commercial objectives.</li><li>
Participates in departmental or companywide activities and projects regarding underwriting and related fields.</li><li>

Your Profile:</b></div><div>
Education &amp; Experience:
</div><ul><li>Minimum 12 years&rsquo; in Life &amp; Health insurance underwriting, preferably with reinsurance/ regional/international exposure as High Sum Assured Underwriter</li><li>
Degree holder. Medical or Life Science qualification would be preferred</li><li>
