 Position Summary
 
 
 
 &bull; Support and improve manufacturing processes within fast paced electronics manufacturing environment.
 
 
 &bull; Develop production process &amp; process controls for a variety of projects across two independent production sites in the UK.
 
 
 &bull; Provide first line technical support for Production department including Surface Mount, Through hole, Mechanical assembly and Coating.
 
 
 &bull; Create / review and update production documentation in line with production processes and quality standards.
 
 
 
 Job Duties/Responsibilities
 
 
 
 &bull; Develop, optimise and maintain manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and ensure product quality.
 
 
 &bull; Create detailed process documentation for new &amp; legacy products such as Assembly Instructions, Workmanship Standards, Work Instructions, PFMEA&rsquo;s, Control Plans and Workflows.
 
 
 &bull; Foster a culture of continuous improvement, teamwork, and operational excellence across the production environment.
 
 
 &bull; Develop and maintain programming for coating and solder machines, ensuring optimal machine performance and product quality.
 
 
 &bull; To complete production fixture design, build &amp; qualification. Either outsourced or using the in-house 3D printing machines.
 
 
 &bull; Apply Lean Manufacturing tools such as 5S and root cause analysis (RCA) to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
 
 
 &bull; Evaluate existing production lines and propose enhancements in layout, tooling, and automation to improve throughput and ergonomics.
 
 
 &bull; Work with design, quality, and production teams during a New Product Introduction (NPI) to ensure smooth process setup, handover and manufacturability.

 &bull; Identify and analyse manufacturing issues working with supporting functions to obtain robust resolution.
 
 
 &bull; Identify, investigate, and resolve process-related issues that impact yield, quality, or efficiency.
 
 
 &bull; Monitor and develop key performance indicators (KPIs) for processes and use data to support decision-making and improvement projects.
 
 
 &bull; Ensure that all process changes are properly documented, validated, and communicated to relevant stakeholders.
 
 
 &bull; Support production training requirements utilising training plans and skills matrices
 
 
 &bull; To use/understand internal Systems/Software such as PLM (Aras), ERP (Avante), MES (FactoryLogix), MMS (MaintainX).
 
 
 &bull; General project management and regular project updates to Management team.
 
 
 &bull; Maintain compliance with industry standards (e.g. ISO 9001, IPC, J-STD, IATF, UL).
 
 
 &bull; To learn, maintain &amp; support the following Bordon based Automation &amp; Equipment/Machinery
 
 
 &bull; PCB de-panelling machine
 
 
 &bull; Selective / Wave soldering machines and profilers
 
 
 &bull; PCB Cleaning Equipment
 
 
 &bull; Component Crop and Form Tools
 
 
 &bull; 3D Printers / Routers
 
 
 &bull; Solder Paste, Pick and Place and Reflow ovens.
 
 
 &bull; Automated Inspection equipment
 
 
 &bull; Conformal Coating Equipment
 
 
 &bull; Adhesive and thermal compound injection equipment
 
 
 &bull; Stencil Maintenance and Stencil Washers
 
 
 &bull; Automated measurement equipment

 &bull; Mechanical engineering experience
 
 
 &bull; Working knowledge or experience of IATF, UL, J-STD, IPC Standards
 
 
 &bull; Working knowledge of ISO9001 and ISO14001 Standards
 
 
 &bull; Excellent PC skills including Microsoft Word, Excel
 
 
 &bull; Experience of creating and monitoring processes and procedures
 
 
 &bull; 3 plus years&rsquo; experience working in a Manufacturing Engineering environment

 &bull; Hours of Work: 38 per week, 8.30 am to 5.30 pm (half hour lunch) Monday &ndash; Thursday, 8.30 am to 12.30 pm Friday.
 
 
 &bull; Pension: Group Stakeholder Pension Scheme. Company&rsquo;s contribution 5% of basic salary, employee contribution a minimum of 4% of basic salary
