<br><div><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>SENIOR DIRECTOR OF MARKETING AND PARTNERSHIPS</b></h3>
<p>
Museum of the Moving Image has had a year of unprecedented growth and success. Attendance is up and the museum has hosted a number of marquee events, screenings, and convenings. With this in mind, MoMI seeks a new Senior Director level position to help shape our narrative, create more opportunities, and build general awareness of the museum to new audiences and partners.
</p><p>The Senior Director of Marketing and Partnerships will serve as a key architect of the Museum&rsquo;s voice, visibility, and impact. Reporting to the Executive Director, this position will create and lead content-driven programming and digital initiatives that position the Museum of the Moving Image (MoMI) as a thought leader and innovator in the cultural sector, introducing diverse audiences to the institution, creating new content and revenue-generating partnerships.</p>
<p>
This role combines strategic vision with hands-on program development&mdash;overseeing lectures, digital marketing, PR, special events, partnerships, sponsorships, and fundraising programs that amplify the Museum&rsquo;s mission, strengthen donor engagement, and expand global reach. The qualified candidate should have a significant level of experience in non-profit marketing or agency work and a track record of building meaningful, high-impact sponsored programming and events.</p>
<p><b>
Responsibilities:</b></p>
<p><b>
Digital Strategy &amp; Marketing
</b></p><ul><li>Build meaningful relationships with brands and organizations to amplify MoMI&rsquo;s message in NYC and across the country.</li>
<li>Shape and implement MoMI&rsquo;s digital content strategy across YouTube, podcasts, livestreams, and other media platforms to elevate the Museum&rsquo;s global profile.</li>
<li>Oversee production of original digital content (interviews, behind-the-scenes features, thought-leadership segments) to position MoMI as a hub for media innovation.</li>
<li>Integrate digital programming with communications and development campaigns, expanding reach to new communities and donors.</li>
</ul>
<p><b>Institutional Visibility &amp; Strategic Partnerships</b></p>
<ul>
<li>In conjunction with the Director of Communications, partner with PR firms, cultural organizations, and peer institutions to strengthen MoMI&rsquo;s reputation in New York City and internationally.</li>
<li>Develop strategic collaborations with film studios, media companies, universities, and tech partners to enhance programming and generate new revenue streams.</li>
</ul>
<p><b>Production &amp; Event Leadership</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Find partnerships that lead production of new flagship series, festivals, and special events that embody MoMI&rsquo;s mission and reinforce its position as a leader in film, media, and cultural discourse.</li>
<li>Ensure all productions&mdash;live or digital&mdash;are of the highest quality, creatively ambitious, and audience-centered.</li>
</ul>
<p><b>Qualifications:</b></p>
<ul>
<li>A minimum of 10 years of experience in communications, or related fields in the cultural sector.</li>
<li>A degree in marketing, film studies, media studies, museum studies, or a relevant discipline.</li>
<li>A proven track record of developing and implementing successful programming and communications strategies for a museum or a similar institution.</li>
<li>A strong knowledge of and passion for film, media, and the moving image.</li>
<li>A desire to be part of a mission-driven organization and to make NYC a better, more accessible place for all.</li>
<li>Excellent leadership, management, and interpersonal skills.</li>
<li>Exceptional written and oral communication skills.</li>
<li>Ability to work collaboratively and creatively with a diverse and dynamic team.</li>
<li>Proficiency in web design, content management systems, and social media platforms.</li>
<li>Familiarity with visitor research and evaluation methods and tools.</li>
<li>Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.</li>
<li>Willingness to travel and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.</li>
</ul>
<p><b>Job Status:</b> Full time.</p>

FLSA Status:</b> Exempt</p>
<p><b>
Salary Range:</b> $90,000&ndash;$125,000</p>
<p><b>
Job Title of the Supervisor:</b> Executive Director</p>
