Make a Difference.Play Patrol Company is looking for an enthusiastic and talented Preschool Music Teacher to deliver engaging, hands-on music classes to children ages 2&ndash;5 at preschools and childcare centers throughout the Philadelphia region.Our teachers don't simply play music&mdash;they create memorable experiences through singing, movement, rhythm activities, instrument exploration, and interactive lessons that help children develop a lifelong love of music.This position is ideal for musicians who enjoy performing, teaching, and working with young children.Compensation<ul><li>Teaching Pay: $32.00&ndash;$42.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications</li><li>Training &amp; Administrative Pay: $20.00 per hour</li><li>Mileage Reimbursement: $0.25 per mile between teaching locations</li><li>Paid training</li><li>Professional development opportunities</li></ul>ScheduleThis is a part-time position.Applicants MUST be available Monday through Friday between 9:00 AM and 12:00 PM.Additional teaching opportunities may become available based on your availability.REQUIRED Qualifications: Intermediate Guitar or Ukulele Skills (Required)Our curriculum is taught using live accompaniment.Applicants must be able to confidently play guitar or ukulele at an intermediate level while singing and leading a classroom of young children.This is an essential requirement of the position.Reliable Transportation &amp; Travel (Required)Teachers travel directly to schools throughout our service area.Applicants must be comfortable driving throughout the Greater Philadelphia region, including:<ul><li>Philadelphia County</li><li>Bucks County</li><li>Montgomery County</li><li>Chester County</li><li>Delaware County</li><li>Camden County, NJ</li></ul>Reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and proof of insurance are required.Responsibilities<ul><li>Teach engaging preschool music classes using Play Patrol Company's curriculum</li><li>Lead singing, movement, rhythm, instrument exploration, and musical games</li><li>Play guitar or ukulele while teaching</li><li>Create a fun, energetic, and positive classroom environment</li><li>Manage classrooms of preschool-aged children</li><li>Build positive relationships with teachers and school staff</li><li>Arrive prepared and on time</li><li>Transport teaching materials between locations</li><li>Attend paid trainings and staff meetings</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>Experience teaching preschool or early childhood music</li><li>Degree in Music Education, Music Performance, Early Childhood Education, or related field</li><li>Experience leading groups of young children</li><li>Strong singing voice</li><li>Excellent classroom management</li><li>Positive, energetic personality</li><li>Professional appearance and communication skills</li></ul>Why Join Play Patrol Company?For more than a decade, Play Patrol Company has provided high-quality music education programs to preschools and childcare centers throughout the Philadelphia region.Unlike many teaching positions, our curriculum, lesson plans, and teaching materials are already created for you.
