<div></div><div><div><div><p>Under the general direction of the Human Resources Director, a Human Resources Specialist administers the recruitment processes for classes of work with Muskegon County. This process includes the advertising of positions, screening of applications, testing and certifying qualified applicants. An employee in this class of work will also perform the pre-employment orientation process for selected candidates. In addition, the Human Resources Specialist will process employee forms and review department submitted performance evaluations in accordance with Muskegon County Personnel Rules. A Human Resources Specialist will also prepare standard reports, complete employment verifications and perform other duties as assigned.</p></div>

<div><p>Possess an Associate's degree in a business program from an accredited university, college or business school; AND<br>
<br>
Have a minimum of one (1) year full-time paid personnel or human resources administration work experience.</p></div>

The selected candidate must take a post-offer medical examination (including back screen and complete physical) and drug screening test given by a County appointed physician before the first day of employment. An offer of employment is contingent upon the results of the medical examination and drug screening test. Applicants for County employment may be subject to a post-offer criminal background check, depending on the nature and assignment of the position. When such check is conducted, an offer of employment is contingent upon the results of the criminal background check. Appointees must satisfactorily complete a probationary period before the appointment will be considered permanent.<br>

For each opening, the Department Head has her/his choice of the candidates who meet the required minimum entrance qualifications. Human Resources Specialist FT

The responsibilities of an Assistant Prosecutor include: the analysis of warrant requests; conducting pretrial conferences, bench trials and jury trials; working with other law enforcement agencies for the drafting of search warrants; and any other duties as assigned by the Prosecuting Attorney.</p></div><br>

<div><p>Must have a Juris Doctorate degree or be a 3rd year law student sitting for the February 2026 Michigan Bar.</p></div><br>
