M-F 9:00am to 6:00pmSeeking a Skilled Maintenance worker for our Preschool Facility to perform upkeep tasks such as repairs and cleaning. You will be responsible for applying basic fixes to equipment and building systems and ensure facilities are tidy and functional. Being reliable with a keen eye for detail is the first step to getting this job. The ideal candidate will have experience and solid technical knowledge. You must possess manual dexterity and physical stamina.Responsibilities<ul><li>Perform basic cleaning activities.</li><li>Perform fixes such as repairing broken items, fixing bathrooms, filling gaps on walls, installing new items etc.</li><li>Check control panels and electrical wiring to identify issues</li><li>Install appliances and equipment</li><li>Do garden/yard upkeep, collecting trash etc.</li><li>Conduct maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs</li><li>Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems (e.g. ventilation)</li><li>Check functionality of safety systems</li><li>Collaborate with workers and other professionals during renovations</li><li>Report to management for issues</li><li>Clean and supply designated building areas</li><li>Perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities</li><li>Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects</li><li>Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs</li><li>Stock and maintain supply rooms</li><li>Cooperate with the rest of the staff</li><li>Follow all health and safety regulations</li></ul>Skills<ul><li>Proven experience in a similar position</li><li>Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems</li><li>Experience using hand and electrical tools</li><li>Ability to read technical manuals and drawings</li><li>Very good communication and interpersonal skills</li><li>Physical stamina and dexterity</li><li>High school diploma or equivalent</li></ul>Job Type: Full-Time M-F 9:00am to 6:00pmMust be available for special projects from time to time that can only be completed outside school hours such as weekends.Job Type: Full-timeExpected hours: 40 per weekBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Employee assistance program</li><li>Employee discount</li><li>Flexible schedule</li><li>Flexible spending account</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Tuition reimbursement</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Work Location: In person
