The Professional, Data Analyst is a foundational contributor to MVP&rsquo;s data‑asset lifecycle, bringing together analytical expertise, data‑management disciplines, and a deep understanding of lakehouse architecture to deliver high‑quality, trusted data at scale. In this role, you will partner closely with business stakeholders, governance teams, and technical engineers to define data requirements, document transformations, and ensure data pipelines and curated layers (bronze and silver) are accurate, complete, and aligned to enterprise strategy. You will support domain governance through ownership of technical metadata and lineage, while helping shape data workflows that promote operational reliability, analytical readiness, and consistent use of enterprise data assets. This role is central to building a sustainable, well‑architected data ecosystem that empowers improved decision‑making across the organization.
What You&rsquo;ll Do:
Data Exploration and Analysis
<ul><li>Analyze, tag, identify data assets and systems through data discovery and analysis of high-level business processes. The Data Analyst will have deep data management skills and will be comfortable querying a variety of platforms using new languages and methods.
</li><li>Sort through uncertain raw data to extract useful elements and collections.
</li><li>Work with data architects, data engineers, data modelers and reporting users.
</li></ul>Data Business Requirements and Workflow Management
<ul><li>Work as part of the data services team on large programs, governing and shaping the delivery of data products and services.
</li><li>Elicit and document our internal customers&rsquo; business requirements, identifying the sources and transformations that are correctly modeled to apply to MVP&rsquo;s data assets to achieve the expected results and serve our users. Maintain user stories, acceptance criteria, metrics definitions, source to target mappings, and semantic layer specifications.
</li><li>Comfortably work with and define internal lakehouse data pipelines and workflows across our medallion architecture, as well as working externally with vendors to achieve third party data integrations that both ingress and egress from MVP&rsquo;s data ecosystems.
</li><li>Ensure the end-to-end solution is fit for purpose, meets the needs of business, the agreed requirements, and are both pragmatic and supportive of the strategic architecture direction.
</li></ul>Data Domain Management
<ul><li>Partner with governance teams and business stewards who maintain business definitions, policies, and stewardship workflows. You are a tactical team member who brings subject expertise to your accountable data domains.
</li><li>Maintain domain technical glossaries for the bronze and silver tiers, including field definitions, lineage, and transformation logic.
</li><li>Collaborate with development teams working with other areas to ensure that all data solutions are complete, operable, conform to appropriate domain business processes, and meet the business needs with the agreed quality of service.
</li><li>Ensure that metrics and monitoring of our core data domains are in place and maintained as part of our data requirements efforts.

Education, Licensure &amp; Certification
<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in a quantitative technical, or business field (e.g. computer science, data science, engineering, finance, statistics) or equivalent practical experience.

The Professional, Sr. Data Governance Program Analyst leads the strategy, operating model, and day‑to‑day practices that keep MVP&rsquo;s data trustworthy, compliant, and ready for use at scale. You&rsquo;ll embed governance into our Azure Databricks Lakehouse and Unity Catalog, operationalize metadata and lineage in Informatica CDGC, and drive measurable improvements in data quality&mdash;enabling safe, consistent, and value‑driven use of MVP&rsquo;s data across the enterprise. This position requires partnership with our offshore Managed Services team, ensuring their work is prioritized and aligned with roadmap.
What You&rsquo;ll Do
Strategy, Operating Model &amp; Policy
<ul><li>Own the enterprise data governance roadmap, KPIs, and maturity plan; facilitate governance forums and align priorities to business outcomes and regulatory needs (HIPAA/PHI).
</li><li>Define and maintain policies, standards, and procedures for data quality, metadata, classification, access, and lifecycle; translate policy into actionable controls across platforms.
</li><li>Develop and shepherd the run state processes for Data Governance across the enterprise.
</li></ul>Controls in Platform (Databricks, Unity Catalog, Informatica)
<ul><li>Implement guardrails using Unity Catalog (ownership, privileges, row/column access, tags/classifications, lineage) and Informatica CDGC (business glossary, steward workflows, approvals).
</li><li>Partner with Security/Risk/Compliance/Audit to map policy to controls and ensure audit‑ready evidence.
</li></ul>Data Quality &amp; Issue Management
<ul><li>Lead data quality disciplines: define dimensions and rules, instrument monitoring in Databricks pipelines (bronze/silver/gold), and publish quality scorecards.
</li><li>Run end-to-end issue management; ensure durable fixes in upstream processes.
</li></ul>Metadata, Catalog &amp; Lineage
<ul><li>Govern enterprise glossary, technical metadata, classifications, PII/PHI tags, and end‑to‑end lineage.
</li><li>Drive adoption and completeness in CDGC and ensure Unity Catalog lineage/tags stay aligned to enterprise definitions, report coverage for critical data elements.
</li></ul>Enablement, Reporting &amp; Continuous Improvement

We are seeking a Research Intern to support the Customer Experience team at a New York regional not-for-profit health plan. This role is responsible for supporting ongoing customer, provider, and other stakeholder research efforts that inform experience strategy, product improvements, and service design across multiple lines of business (including Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial).
The Research Intern will partner closely with senior researchers, CX strategists, and business leaders to manage quantitative and qualitative methodologies (especially survey) and support our growing Voice of the Customer program. This role is ideal for an early‑career researcher who is passionate about improving healthcare experiences, interested in developing their skills with AI tools, and eager to explore how customer insights can be used to drive business decisions and make meaningful customer experience improvements.
