PURPOSE OF POSITION:</b></p><p></p><p><br>
The Instructor is responsible for supporting the academic, attendance, and certification success of assigned student cohorts in assigned academic delivery methodologies. The Instructor will be expected to communicate effectively in group environments, as well as in one-on-one student coaching or advising sessions.</p><p><b>
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</b></p><ul><li><p>
Assist the Lead Instructor in providing Information Technology instruction to class populations of varying sizes in the Resident, online, and/or hybrid academic delivery methodologies, as assigned.</p></li><li><p>
Using various communication tools such as phone, chat, email, text, video, or in-person, verbally, and in writing, coach and advise students one-on-one to achieve academic, attendance, and certification success.</p></li><li><p>
Ensure assigned student cohorts meet academic performance and attendance standards to successfully pass each class and achieve standards at evaluation periods.</p></li><li><p>
Support the Lead Instructor in managing the certification progress of students, including tutoring students, issuing Golden Tickets, helping students schedule for exams, and following up with students on exam outcomes.</p></li><li><p>
Respond timely and accurately to student questions and concerns.</p></li><li><p>
Document all student issues and communication.</p></li><li><p>
Actively manage the support of student tutoring and assistance in the campus or online Flex rooms, as assigned, including opening and closing the Flex room in the online environment.</p></li><li><p>
Work with the Lead Instructor to plan, prepare, and deliver curriculum and instructional activities to provide students with an outstanding academic and training experience during each class session that prepares students to take their certification exams.</p></li><li><p>
Work with the Lead Instructor to establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities, per the published syllabus.</p></li><li><p>
Use relevant technology to support instruction.</p></li><li><p>
Communicate with the technology administrator to resolve student issues as it relates to their learning management system.</p></li><li><p>
Instruct, monitor, and help troubleshoot students&rsquo; use of learning materials and equipment..</p></li><li><p>
Pursue professional development to bring current industry trends into the classroom environment.</p></li><li><p>
Maintain discipline and manage student behavior in accordance with the policies and disciplinary systems of the school.</p></li><li><p>
Contribute to the enhancement of the academic and training program by providing constructive feedback in structured and informal meetings, sharing ideas, participating in pilot programs, and helping to maintain or implement new curricula or learning activities.</p></li><li><p>

EDUCATION &amp; EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS</b></p><ul><li><p>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree, preferably in Information Technology or a related field; or a combination of education and experience.</p></li><li><p>
MyComputerCareer graduate preferred.</p></li><li><p>
Minimum of 6 months of practical work experience in the IT industry.</p></li><li><p>
Previous experience managing student attendance, completion, and certifications is preferred.</p></li><li><p>
Troubleshooting experience with the Canvas Learning Management System is preferred.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b><br>

Mentor and effectively lead the career services team members in all aspects of the professional development process to ensure we are offering our students and graduates an unparalleled professional development program to support the core values and the mission of MyComputerCareer.</p></li><li><p>
Coach and develop a high functioning team to execute day-to-day operations of core career coaching services on campus including the ability to foster effective communication and a positive work environment.</p></li><li><p>
Drive the Career Services Team to create new relationships and build on existing relationships with employers to maintain a steady flow of job leads in the technology industry to meet weekly and monthly goals.</p></li><li><p>
Conduct daily observations &amp; provide coaching on the Career Services Team&rsquo;s ability to readily assess the talents of the individual students they speak with and their ability to match and market them with the pipeline of job leads available.</p></li><li><p>
Assist in training and driving the implementation of our Career Services Management (CSM) system.</p></li><li><p>
Exercise discretion and apply independent judgement to address employee problems.</p></li><li><p>
Resolve potential problems from a broad perspective to identify the underlying root cause.</p></li><li><p>
